I got to #2. Couldn't do it after that. I don't really blame the people in the show though. It just seems like the whole thing needed a lot more planning. And perhaps they needed to consider dropping the drama bullshit. And tightening up the rules.
I agree...I don't blame any of the participants...I actually feel sorry for them. I am sure that they expected a professional production, and I am sure they expected to learn something and make a ton of money.
Unfortunatly, the show had a good concept, but failed (MASSIVELY) to deliver on many levels...production quality is just one level.
The "Guru" guys however, should really be embarrassed.
I haven't seen a minute of the show but judging by these screenshots I can see that its a total trainwreck.

XMCP, your a solid dude, your posts makes sense to me, and I actually agree with it. I do feel bad for the contestants, and I also agree about the gurus. I would of certainly picked better gurus, and focused more time on getting affiliates.
However, a show that bases your admission by video votes, seems to me like they would of got a ton of video marketers. Which they did. Several issues, but it's hard to control some issues on the show.

It's interesting to me because it's in Lincoln, Nebraska, where I grew up, and kind of disturbing at the same time. Do you think Wright's Jeweler's is going to see an uptick in business because of this?
I think I understand the concept, promotions, marketing, buzz, etc . . but the execution seems off the mark. It also seems more targetted at someone that has no freaking idea about the business at all, which might mean they want demographics of folks trolling for get rich quick on the internet stuff. This seems sort of backwards because AM is a pretty specialized field as far as ways to make money online.
Certainly aren't many tips as it seems they all rely on calling in favors to get ppc money, at which point, the average viewer might as well go somewhere else if they don't have a friend to donate 2k to them for a one day campaign.
Applaud the effort, next time I'm sure the execution will be better . . if there is a next time.
