You guys haven't had a bust yet? We are getting hammered right now.

No bust. It's cheap here so there's room for appreciation. Only problem is property tax is about 3%, really f-ing high!

JUST GOT OFF PHONE WITH REALTOR. MY COUNTER OFFER WAS ACCEPTED. PLACE SOLD!!! SIGNING PAPERS IN THE MORNING.

Now I need to sell some damn furniture and figure out how to get the rest to Nor Calif.

Just wanted to follow up on this thread. I took the advice of some of the people here. For example, I lowered the bids on my keywords to get a higher ROI, and from another thread (I think), I saw someone claiming that the default blue link color gets a lot of clicks. Well, you guys were right. Last night while I was sleeping, I had almost 3:1 with an 86% CTR!

haha. Terrific. 86% CTR is pretty fucking good, finding some better niches should help you get an even better ROI. Just test and keep track of what does, and doesn't work; and you'll start seeing some great numbers.

You might have saw my post on the blue links. I use it on all of my sites and all of them, except one (don't know what the fuck the deal is with it) get a 50%-90% CTR. Good job dude, now you have to start thinking volume volume volume.

Jakob Nielsen preaches it and it still works.

I guess we'll see the blue link thing keeps working because a lot of sites use the default (hence the blue) link color.

As long as it is enough to keep the general public thinking "blue == link" it'll work.

That was my thinking behind it, and I also figure that most of the 3rd tier traffic is probably not the most technical savvy.

If you're using YPN for arbitrage, make sure you use the Reporting URLs feature. It will tell you what sites are performing and what sites aren't. This feature keeps track of impressions, CTR, RPC, etc for a given url.

YPN takes a day to update these stats, but they are extremely better than shooting in the dark and guessing which sites aren't performing.

Doesn't adsense do that too? Adding URL channels should do that for you.

I got my first arbitrage site up and it's getting around 50% CTR. Is this good? I got 8 clicks and profited 1:5 ratio. Do you guys get higher CTR?

I think I now know what Jon means by go by volume. I think this layout is working for me and now I'm going to try to create more and more sites.

Yes, that's a good CTR, but you really need to push some more traffic through it to figure out if it's going to stay there.

These are my stats for the day. They will surely go up a little more before midnight.
