Hi,

This is the best IM forum out there and you ppl are it! :love-smiley-087:

So:
I made this website/salespage for a product I'm reselling as white label - New name and all.
Validator-Plus.com (also ValidatorPlus.com redirecting there)

I wanted PPC for rapid fire testing the offer, but I can't seem to draw in traffic.
The main keyword - Validator gets me a QS of 2.
Competition is low. But it won't show because of the low QS.
I did try longer tail terms and got better QS - up to 7 initially, now down to 6.
But the longer tails are very low volume.

I do have the keyword in the ad, and tried 2 ads - didn't change the QS.
The domain has the keyword.
The 2nd ad even contains similar (google ~Validator) words.

What should I change?:
1. Ad?
2. LP/SP
3. SEO the site? (working on it anyway, just delayed...)
4. Find more keywords/different approaches?

The idea is testing the offer 1st by dumping some traffic in, and collecting the contact info before investing a lot in it.
Sure I will also need to keep the traffic going after.

Here are the ads I tried:
1.
Code:
Validator Plus ®
Easy 100 Page WebSite Checkup
HTML CSS SEO Links + 24.95$/Report
www.validator-plus.com
http://www.validator-plus.com

2.
Code:
Validator Plus site tests
Easy 100 Page HTML CSS SEO Links +
Tests Validations Checks 24.95$
www.validator-plus.com
http://www.validator-plus.com

I think I put the most complete yet relevant info I can, in hopes I can get really focused advice.

Also, in adwords, when your starting a campaign like this, due I can sell international, should I start by focusing to English - US 1st or put it very broad. (I started broad and changed to remove the India clicks I was getting - 2/5 or so - yea that's about the total)
p.s. I also put the campaign in MS ad center.

Let's say that a visit per 2 - 3 days is the highlight of my traffic, just so you know the size of the problem. (and somehow the clicks are more then the visits measured by 3 different tools - P202,analytics and logs..)

Try some different but relevant keywords. See if they too get a QS of 2. If they do, then you can assume that it is something wrong with your LP and troubleshoot from there.

@AM As I said I have some key words with QS 6 on longer tail like: "page validation", "page validator"
@Frank I had about 15 keywords and added another 6 now by more keyword research. (Total now 21) in all 3 match types, ad grouped by term.
Should I go wild with 100's of words instad of targeting relevence?

Totals for the campaign is like:
21 clicks (idk why so many clicks and so little page views comapred)
4,626 impr.
0.45% CTR avg (varies from 0.26% to 3.7%)
avg pos 2.7

International campaign?
-seperate each country into campaigns.
-seperate each keyword into exact match adgroups - find out which one is the culprit. this will also help you improve CTR , and thus QS.
- Try to acquire an exact match domain for the really high volume keyword. build your LP on that site then forward it off to your own page
- for christ's sake, write more ad copy. atleast get it to over 1% =P

nways good luck and let us know how it goes.

For now I start with US only.
I moved all the exact match types to seperate campaigns (maybe an overkill)
So, more domains? one for each high volume term?
I did not get the part about the over 1% ad copy, can you elaberate or did I just miss a joke? (=P)

p.s. with the seperate campaign Validator still get a QS of 2.
p.s.s. the google keyword tool on my page thinks the term "making money" is good O_0.

That 1% (at least) refers to the keyword density of your content. It isn't enough to have some content on your LP, it also has to be relevant to the keywords you are targeting.

Also, you should optimize the density throughout your site as much as possible as it will at least help you rank better for organic traffic if you ever decide to go that way.

Good luck,
