PPC ===> Squeeze Page Optin Rates?

For those of you that capture leads, what are you seeing for optin rates from cold PPC traffic (and verification rates if you're doing double-optin)?

I know it varies by niche/market, offer, copy, etc... but damn... I haven't run a squeeze page in a couple of years and the highest optin rate I'm seeing now is 18% with 60% confirmation rate.

Your stats actually aren't that bad.

I have some campaigns that are getting a 5% opt-in rate, while others are as high as 30%. Haven't been able to break the 30% threshold on a consistent basis.

Also, I find that optimization is almost equally dependent on the traffic source, as well as the LP.

Ultimately, I'm looking to hit a CPA for the email. A bit tougher than straight PPC b/c you don't know the lifetime value of a sub for some period of time.

dude 18% optin on cold traffic is NICE
