I am getting started in PPC, and I have a couple of questions, mainly about testing an offer with a landing site.

I do not have the appropriate skills to create the landing sites I want, so I intend on outsourcing my landing sites, but I don't want to pay for a site only to have the offer/keywords not convert and make money, so I don't know the best way to approach this.

Is there a quicker way to test an offer without an outsourced landing site? And can I really use the results from my tracking if I'm plan on creating a proper landing site anyway?

Thanks.

Not all offers need a landing page to perform well. It ultimately depends on the niche/offer of course. Dating for example rarely needs an LP - so direct linking usually is the best way to go. Also, some networks can make you a custom landing page. It won't always be the best quality, but it's something to work with which will generate some campaign data for you to determine if an offer does better w/ a landing page or not.

I agree with Grind Hard, sometimes you can just direct link the offer. However, sometimes the smarter thing to do is to invest into a designer. There are several quality designers on WF that would be happy to work something up with you at a good rate. Do your research first. If your going to be running an offer and your worried about if it's going to work or not just do your research. Are others running it ? If so, there must be some profitability to the campaign. Re invent the wheel. I'm not saying copy the affiliates ads or lps, but simply take there ideas and improve.

just my 2 cents...

Cool guys, thanks for the info.

So, it's seeming like I should probably go through the steps of creating a full on landing site and risk it just being a total flopper...I think...

Set a budget, don't spend $200 on a lander...keep it closer to $50. You'll find a lot of cheap designers on DP. Also, teach yourself some HTML if you don't already know some, so you can make split testing various changes a lot easier than having to go to your designer all the time.

I always head over to my Aff Mngr. for questions.
Remember , an AM is the one who can help you with many questions as you have just started and i am sure you will have many n00b questions or clarifications needed inorder to run sucessful campaign.

There's plenty of landing page template packs you can download where literally the only skill required is to find and replace.

If you can't do that, well, you should find out how to do it, because it'll be pretty important in the future.

Sweet, thanks for the info. That helps a TON. I've been researching this stuff for quite a while now, so now as I'm diving into it, all this stuff that I never thought about pops into my head.

Thanks.
