Do you prefer pay per sale or pay per lead? And why is it that you like one better than another?

Personally I like the pay per lead. Mainly thats because I have made more this way than sales but once you start seeing your leads converting it sometimes sways your thinking.

During the holiday season, sales is where it's at for me. As long as you have something that your audience wants (lead or sale), and the traffic is cheap enough to get the audience, you can make money.

I don't do well with sales

any tips would be appreciated

I think I don't do well with sales is since I can't find who has the best deal/price. The market fluctuates so much and everybody always seems to come up with a lower price the next day.

I made $50 on Nintendo Wii's from Amazon when they were released. That's about it.

Johu makes an excellent point. With Christmas promos ramping up (Walmart just lowered prices on thousands of products), people are literally trained to get out their credit cards at this time of year. For some products, prospects are very easy to convert.

Lots of people promote lead offers because they figure it's easier to convert because prospects don't need to give out credit card details. And that's true. But, I think those people may be overlooking some of the opportunities in actually selling things.

I promote one product at a double-digit price point that I don't think I can convince people *not* to buy.

In my experience, it's all about identifying needs, offering solutions and meeting expectations.
