Ok so today I launched a campaign with a small ppv network.

This was my first media buy.

I got a coupon code from my AM for $50 with $100 deposit.

So fast forward 1 hour.

I have 1500+ clicks and a total spend of $26.00
I am promoting a simple poll to email submit
basically someone presses the yes or no button on my lp
they get redirected to the offer.

I had ONLY ONE person hit the offer page. ONE!!!! out of 1500+ Clicks! Wtf!

Is this normal?

also almost every click didn't have a keyword in prosper. The keywords that did show up were completely random and unrelated to my keywords. Like free download, used vehicle, used machinery etc...

anyone know whats up?

Peace

blackrizo your a fag...

Go get some experience in this industry before you post stupid shit bitch.

@ Garrett. I've tested this campaign with different traffic sources. I had a 10% cvr with adwords. I had 40 clicks and 4 conversions before google slapped it.

campaigns don't port directly from one traffic source to another. build another LP or 5, direct link and rotate the offer.

well yea... thats Adwords. If you're paying per pop, you need to focus on CTR from your lander. The higher your CTR, the lower your effective CPC is.

If youre paying .01 per pop... that is basically $10/cpm (1 penny x 1,000 pops = $10)

If you only managed to get 1 click, you effectively are paying $10/click

Thing is I KNOW my lander is good

I almost think that the traffic is bullshit. The traffic was keyword targeted but I was getting random ass keyword in prosper.

Makes me think the traffic is bullshit.

might wanna split test some landers to see if you can get more eyeballs on the actual offer page. search campaigns wont necessarily port over to ppv that easily. this is disruption marketing. granted you are buying pops when a user is looking for something specific so in that sense its targeted but to them its just an annoying popup.

my advice might be obvious but sometimes its the obvious and simple answer that leads you in the right direction.

Obviously your lander blows if youre only getting a <0.01% CTR

Like bigwavesurfer said, this is disruption marketing. So the main objective is to capture ATTENTION.

Try to use headlines that GET Attention... like...

1) READ THIS BEFORE ______
2) ATTENTION ______
3) ANNOUNCING _____

shit like that... old school AIDA (attention, interest, desire, action)

oh perhaps because people have already registered for about 1000 'free ipads' and are sick of seeing those pops? Got banner blindness?

....or this. Probably the best answer you'll get Trigger. Short Form lead offers FTW on PPV

I also bet it was RON, cause waaay too many clicks (not views!) for $26. Even for PPV. Stop being cheap ass.

pretty sure i know which network it is. and if it is the one im thinking of, they do interstitial ads not popups.
