I agree. I don't pay much attention to my PR. One of my new sites did end up with a 5 which is not bad considering the amount of effort I put into promoting it.

Nice. A higher PR would definitely help for a new round of one way link building (link mapping) campaign. For those that don't know, it's swapping links with people that own different sites. Example: I own sites A + B, you own C + D, you link from C to A, in exchange for a link from my site B to your site D. All one way links, using differing Class C Nice and undetectable.

It's pretty easy to go from PR0 to PR5 in one update (3-4 months).. so what does that prove when you sell a site then? That you can fake your site's popularity?

Google gives trust partly according to PR - you can then sell some trust
