Just got accepted as well. Saw 3 contests when I first logged in, managed to make 1 submission lol. I'm wondering that as well.
They go REALLY fast. The AVERAGE time from entry to the marketplace and exit is 30 minutes. They go come in waves through the day as we process customers. We are working on a way to notify writers when things are available. What happens is that we have about 20 writers that seem to watch it all day and pick things up as they come in. As we have scaled these past few months the number of distinct writers has expanded but that core is taking most right now because they sit on the site. We are also working on a system to spread them more evenly with daily caps and not allow a core of writers to grab all of them because they sit on the site but that is not ready yet. We are working on better notifications. Right now we have hundreds of writers but we have a core of 30 writers that seem to be sitting on the site all day and writing for new opportunities within minutes. We process waves of new contest during the day and they jump on them very quickly. We are also working on a way to limit the number of writing opportunities per writer but it is a free for all rght now. I would say the best time to look for opportunities is to look early in the morning or on the weekends.

I wil tell you that we just signed up a customer that is about to drop 50 new contests into the marketplace either later today or tomorrow. That translates to hundreds of new ad opportunities since we run multi ads. Once we have his creative brief we will launch it. We will email the entire writer network when he goes live so watch our for that email and you will have lots of opportunities.

You SHOULD be ok then. The marketplace is changing quickly as the writer network has grown 20% in just a few days. The advertiser network gets shots of big guys that bring hundreds of opportunities every few weeks and daily it gets smaller guys that bring in a few more chances each.
It is one of those things in growing a marketplace where you have to add writers and advertisers in tandem or you have too many of one and not enough of the others.
Two weeks ago we launched kayak.com and they needed hundreds of ads. It took four days to get through it. We are about to launch another one that has the same number of opportunities so you will see that in the next day or so.

How long does it typically take for stuff to get approved? I submitted a bunch of ads on the 21st and they are still all pending.

Entered a contest last night and looks like I'm in the lead....haha sweet.
Anyway, I'm trying to enter more but everything is running slow as hell. I can't get any new contests to load. A lot of the pages won't load either. Are yall running maintenance or something? Or is this something on my end?

So far I have attempted about 20 contests. One has run to completion (I lost by 8% 
), most are still pending, a number of facebook ones have been disapproved by facebook and a few adwords ones have been rejected by the advertiser. That advertiser (one of the big brands) seems to be extremely nitpicky and their reasons for rejection are very vague. Overall the system seems to have a lot of potential but don't expect to really get paid enough to make your time worth it if you are hoping to get something other than educational value out of being a writer.
