Pre-Emptive strike against tradmark douchebags

If I am getting a domain that a trademark douche is squatting on, how do I pre-empt his DMCAs?

Overseas hosting?
if I register the .com with an overseas registrar, is that still liable to his complaints?

this is not a big corporation, but moreso an angry douchebag... ...

.coms are all registered through Verisign, a US company, so um- actually, what the fuck are you talking about?

you can have a domain with a trademark in it, so long as you do not use it in a commercial fashion. If you just want to complain about him, you can always do that.

Other than that: commercial use of a trademarked name = fail.

ok, so no matter where I am in the world, he can goto Verisign and and request it to be taken down if he owns the US trademark and I am using it in a commercial fashion. Ok got that one now.

how much work/lawyers would this take him to actually do?
