while its entirely possible all three of us are talking about the same website, lets keep in mind there are multiple paid forums all of which have a thread about SGW in one way or another and the point was that the paid forums share more and better information that is relevant.

imitators gonna tate....the thread I'm talking about was about 11 pages long a couple months ago, bunch of tards discussing "modded xrumer d00d"...if I had $1 for every time somebody asked me that on skype, I could buy...something...maybe the yearly subscription to xrumer mods.

I'm sure your point is valid regarding a forum with a financial barrier to entry keeping the quality higher than this shithole, not sure why you felt the need for a thread about it tho, common knowledge that this place is a fermenting shit hole...just ask Hand Foreskin.

don't get me wrong, not hating on your product at all, and clearly the fact that every seo forum on the web has a thread about said product sorta speaks for itself.

My intent wasn't to showcase anything about SGW or claim any solutions, it was to do an a/b compare on a related subject between 2 forums and see which provided better info. I easily could of used a different topic to do the comparison.

I brought it up here because I knew other people might be curious or feel the same way. My PM inbox blew the fuck up, many from people with x,xxx posts.

I'm also not about bouncing on Wicked Fire either because there IS legit info on here and obviously plenty of entertainment.

I've had a chance to view some of the private forums that don't really advertise, and it blew me away. I signed up instantly. Expensive but entirely worth it. Everyone on there isn't about fucking around, they help each other out. It's a much tighter knit community where if you ask a question you will most likely get a legit answer.

Example: Theres a thread in T&C about the Spam Gone Wild package. Not bad but nothing new in the thread. On the private forum, three people split the cost of the package and proceeded to rape the fuck out of it. They broke down his method, found and posted a bunch of the links and examples of how he does it, and basically found how to do it themselves for free.

I'm not going to out the forums I'm referring to both because I don't want people to think I'm trying to somehow make money from this post, but also because I don't want 10k WF members signing up there and potentially polluting the environment.

I sorta have a feeling some people on here already belong to them and come here for more entertainment purposes.

Anyone else consider these options/know they existed?

It only took 3 people there to be able to afford SGW? Fucking christ when we do group buys here or at BHW for that it generally takes 10 of us. They must be really good at seo. I'm also really really shocked that a paid forum might have a higher signal to noise ratio than a free one. This thread should be moved to the enlightened section!
 
You can learn good SEO practices and collaborate with other intelligent people in a Skype group.

Why put things publicly on a "private/paid" forum so that Matt Cutts and his dick-sucking minions can get involved? Just like these "private" blog networks...

Skype can also be a social timesink where a few people tend to contribute more bullshit and lols than insight. It is better than forums though, and there is one reason IMO.

Exclusivity.

This place took a big hit when registrations went up in late 2009.
 
@ OP and everyone else who is hattin this place. If you hate such free forums that much why you come here and post?
 
I have been on a few paid SEO forums and if I need to summarize it I will say that in the good ones they will let you know some of the stuff that works, however in all of them there is usually this glass ceiling - and it looks like they never want you to see the whole picture.

In my opinion once you know basic SEO and got the scars to show for it the only thing that you need to know is what works right now and/or tested processes that are solid and trustworthy, I will be happy to pay a lot to just view that information. WF has a lot of noise in some sections, however if you read carefully you still have a good chance of picking up some sound advice.
 
There is actually a shit ton of useful info on here, but a lot of noise too. If you can put in enough hard work going through all the info here, testing, refining and testing again, you will do pretty good.

Do you expect someone to put up a private membership site and then spoon feed you all the secrets to internet marketing success? If you want the "secrets" you can always go for a WSO.

I know what the OP said, so this is not necessarily directed at OP alone
 
Paid Forums, fine. But i want to see Case Studies. Case Study.. ill pay to see different tests from different points of view on seo, media buying, social etc.. etc..
