Ok. I admit it. I'm tired, and I feel like a loser here. I've come up with half a dozen article packages of different niches and TRIED offering it for sale here.

Most of the articles are written by natives and I believed(hoped) that they'd at least go at the starting bid. if not the BIN. I admit i am new here, so i probably don't know the market rate here...but still, i tried selling them at below a cent/word---and still no potential buyers! I mean people can at least ask for samples or ask about past experience and other similar sorta things... I'm no scammer, I offer genuine articles!

I know i am a still a newbie here, but how do I deserve/earn a chance? should i lower the price/article even more? create a better sales page?

Am I missing something?

I need some help...pro help. Seriously guys, help me out here.

I don't make money from articles, but i write fantastic original Articles that you can spin into the article spinner and make a few more out of them.

Just looking at selling articles though.The idea is to sell an Article that is not necessarily word perfect but word fantastic.(this according to the governing rules of English grammar).

When i read articles online most of them are generic poo although word perfect.Anyway you can imagine i do a click back page and find something else to waste my time on.

I cant imagine spending $5 for articles + the work load just to look at them and delete them because they are word perfect bog.
 
Are you attempting to sell the same packs over and over to users?

Like:
Guy (A) Buys Fitness Pack.
Guy (B) Buys Fitness Pack.
....
.....
......


With the announcement of Google's anti-content farm being put into place, people will only want to buy original articles.
And if you want to build a rep here you'll probably need to give one or two away or offer some at half price. It'll suck taking the loss but having a good standing here will benefit you more.

Nah. I wouldn't do that. I'm happy selling it to a single person. seriously, i ain't that cheap :p

In fact, I'd a couple of reputed guys who were interested, and I was even selling them at less than a cent/word ...but the only thing that bugs me is these kind of repped people don't reply back timely.. 4 hours--ok, no prob, 14-16 hours---maybe he's busy , 24 hours--- let's leave him a reminder 2 days-- What the hell!
 
sounds to me like you're rushing. 24 hours and you're already leaving a reminder? People don't live on the internet...
 
I have to agree with Legit. Maybe a few days I could see sending them a reminder but 24 hours? Like he said, people (usually) don't live on the internet.

One thing I've learned from online transactions through systems like this is that you have to let things run their course. This isn't eBay where you can buy a pack of digital articles and expect email delivery near-instantly.

Hell, for that fact, even on eBay I've waited days and weeks to get feedback from items I've bought or sold.
 
But after 2.5 days, how do I react? I understand that these kind of transactions could take days, but what if the reputed WF buyer doesn't respond at all ?

Should I still wait for his answer or consider the contract breached? :(

As a matter of fact, this justo tx guy( who showed interest in buying my articles) appears online for most of the day, but doesn't has the courtesy to reply back if he's busy and I have to wait or if he's simply not interested...?

This is very disappointing .

How should I tackle this?
 
I can't offer any advice. But I DO need articles. I'll be out for the rest of the day- just a heads up.

if I may go back to the eBay thing, what do you think would happen to your account if you left someone negative feedback for not leaving you feedback?

I've made many transactions on WF, other forums, and other outlets that had review/feedback systems and my score on WF is only 4. I know I've made more transactions than this(but I'm not the greatest at leaving feedback either). It's just something you're going to have to suck up and put up with.

You could try tossing a PM to a mod and explain what happened. That you were looking to build your rep by offering review copies. So-and-so bought/got one and never left feedback. Either something will happen or they'll laugh at you.

In the future, adjust your requirements for a review copy. Like account age, number of itrades, number of posts... things like this. I'm not sure what yours were now but did they at all match this criteria?

Bro, just a huge heads up... just because the little red "online" light is on, doesn't mean we're actually on. I can't tell you how often I leave my top 3-5 sites open, and they will show that I'm "online", but yet I may not have actually been on in 24 hours.

I actually had an issue like this happen to me earlier in the week. They writer (fairly new here) accused me of being a fraud scammer simply because I didn't reply within 24 hours even though it showed me online. Again, relax dude. contacting after 48 hours to check in is cool by me (I usually do it at 48 hours).

It's not about the reviews or the feedback. And I don't understand how a review copy is going to help me when I am selling pre-written articles (genuinely) :confused:, it's not like I'm offering content services, that I'd sell out free reciew copies to build up a rep..

It's not about asking the mods for help either. It's more like- what tactics could and should be used(here) for getting better and quicker sales?

2) Get some hosting

3) Get a PayPal Pro account, Mal's eCom account or some other easy drag-n-drop ecommerce solution

4) Upload a bunch of stuff to your site, explicitly offer it as free, no cc/sa or GnuPG or anything else. Purely, this is free content to demonstrate how awesome you are.

5) Sell content packs on the site for a reasonable market price. Don't forget to offer custom work.

6) Sell conten packs on WickedFire at a discount from the market price. Don't forget to offer custom work.

7) Profit

The flaw with your current model is that hardly anyone, relative to the broader content market, buys prepack except PLR stuff that costs a billionth of a penny per word, that will be fed into a spinner and published on some shitty awful blog. That, plus the fact that while I haven't looked at all your threads, your current sample process is a screenshot of a paragraph is just retarded. It's too much of a pain in the ass to run through Copyscape or Google to see if you even wrote it. Write or contract some decent stuff, put some in packs and some out as free samples, and sell them. Don't forget to offer custom work.

First of all, thanks for the pointers Frank.

As a matter of fact, this was the first time I put a screenshot in a thread. Ihad to. The last time I sent a couple of sample articles, it took the client 3 days to read it and finally reply back. I just had to.

Anyways, I do offer content creation services, but had to pause , coz i'd to take care of some issues. I'll starting the same work soon. I'd some interesting, genuine article packages which I thought I'd sell it at a , well considerably cheaper price . Oh well! :updown:

domain, hosting, promoting, selling --- sure it 'd take time , but yeah , maybe it could be worth it. :music06:

Also, I don't believe in taking shits in people's deal threads, but just a pointer for surviving WickedFire: don't use the Boobs icon if there are no boobs.
