I've been running a few campaigns on facebook the last week or so with fairly successful results. Two days ago I noticed a HUGE drop in impressions (by about 75%) and I have no idea why. Is anyone else experiencing these problems? It's pretty frustrating.

Stick to something legit is what I say, yet I hear they are allowing affiliate links?

I have one ad running right now that has impressions and a few clicks... just posted it not too long ago.

I think they are coming around to a QS issue for landing pages? There are either spiders or manual reviews of almost every ad now before it goes active.

Set an ad and it should take at least a half hour brfore impressions (correct me if I'm wrong)

This is what I was talking about a few days ago. I think they are starting to QS penalize. I setup a super basic landing page to redirect to for their spider, anything from dev.facebook, just www(dot)facebook(dot)com, or an ip range I believe is theirs. Since then my ads have started running within 5 minutes, but the impressions aren't quite what they used to be, and I'm paying double to even get that.

It's either QS issues or people are figuring out our niches and screwing us over lol.

Yeah none of mine are working anymore. Back to Yahoo and Google I guess. THanks for the info.

I still have some ads that get impressions right away within a minute or two...i have some running with affil links and some with LP's, sometimes they get disabled sometimes they don't...hard to figure these guys out right now

Because this is a whole new "building process" for them.

Go back to where I said this is going to be the top source of rev. for them if they can get their shit together.

I haven't been promoting most of the shit most everyone else is... (in short anything from any affiliate network we see here)

Set up content rich landing pages... go back to SEODave's Zip Submit thread...

Maybe because you're direct linking...
could be your landing page sucks balls...
If you're using a meta refresh forget about it (I think not too sure)

They're starting to monitor (hardcore) the ads that are going up.

To be honest with you, if you're getting banned and disabled... Just promote something else...

Heres a tip: Not evey high $/lead or $/sale is in a network...
I was stuck into a 10%/sale for my niche...
Googled what I was promoting (broad terms)
and Found another company that sells in my niche and they offer 20% per sale...

Keep the hamster rolling people

are they reviewing each ad manually? first i did iphone, the ipod, then ringtones, then colege scholarship, they all get disabled

They are manually reviewing most ads any more. It seems like there's some element of trust (or just plain QS) as well going on. I just had my brother create an ad using his account. It has slightly different wording, going to a new site, but promoting the same offer as my ads, with a slightly higher bid. After 10 minutes it still doesn't have any impressions.

-the mole, who wishes his post didn't take a day to clear moderation...you should punish after someone has proven themselves to be a nuisance, not before.

*edit* why do some of my posts show up right away, but others don't?

Because you're a fucking mole for (insert religious figure here)'s Sake...

Nah, its cause you're a noob to the board... once you reach a certain amount of posts 10-15 I think you should be good

i even put all my info on an image and just uploaded the image, and still it got disabled.

Plain DeeDaDee right there

Just a follow up on the ad my brother put on his account. It received 100> impressions after the first hour or so, and it's seems to have died off. I think this says they are quality scoring things very heavily now. It's not like it used to be where you could post a direct affiliate link and get 1k impressions in a minute.

Here's some background since I didn't explain the setup we just tested:

The ad he put up went to a site I haven't used on FB yet, but it automatically redirects to the affiliate (so I can still track it on my end). The ad's title, body, picture and url were all unique and different from any of my ads. It took about 30 minutes for impressions to start showing, and it seems to have maxed at just over 100 impressions.

Your results may vary of course, I'm just posting what I see

You're correct... I'm running an ad on something thats not redirecting - with affiliate links/banners in/around the content and such

Should help
