I went, It was a fucking blast.
4:00 started partying with 10 buddies
6:30 picked up date
7:00 dinner with 10 buddies and their dates
9:00 went to prom got pics taken
9:15 afterparty
2:00 hotel with date...pounded it
9:00 went home
Great nite..will never forget it

have fun and definitely enjoy your prom. It's one of those experiences in life you shouldn't skip.
Honestly it won't be "the most magical night of your life" but you'll probably have a lot of fun and get laid.

My prom story: I had a GF at the time who was short and kinda bitchy. One of my really good female friends was going to the prom stag so I told my gf, "look we're not going to last forever obviously, so I want to go to prom with a friend not a girlfriend" It was harsh but necessary. Made prom a hell of a lot more fun and the after party kicked ass. Needless to say though I didn't get laid that night and she broke up with me a couple days after that but yeah. Totally worth it.

I went to a couple proms but not my own. We were going to, then us guys that went in on the limo decided F-it shortly prior to the prom and took the limo down to Huntington Beach (minus the female baggage) and used it to entice the local girls.
I've always thought proms/dances were pretty boring. Bring a flask.
Let's see: two hours getting your hair done, an hour getting your toes and nails done, 30 minutes to do your make up perfectly and five minutes to get into the dress and 5 inch heels = fucking lame. Then everyone piles into the limo with their date after mom and dad take a million pictures and you go to the dance where all you keep thinking about is cracking the bottles of JD, Rum, and Vodka and the keg.

I got wasted early in the evening because I didn't have a date with me

Na she just went to sleep straight after prom. It wouldn't have been our first time doing it so it's not like a missed some magical night but seriously who the fuck goes to sleep right after prom lol.

Not at our gay school. It's a whole scandal now but a couple years ago they implemented a new dance policy. As you can imagine it makes all the fun out of it. People keep getting kicked out and IDs taken away just for grinding or something. Now everyone just goes to dances in every other school around but I think it wont be long before all the district schools join the circle jerk.
