So I registered this new domain, not a drop, never been used before. It's not an EMD either. Pointed the domain to cheap hosting provider, those with $15/year on server packed to death with domain - around 500+. NOT an SEO host.

I then uploaded an index.html with welcome to and some blurd. No more than 20 words.

Some day in March 2012
Domain not indexed. Very odd, usually they get indexed in a week or 2. So, I pointed one blogroll link from one of my sites and some other links from statistical sites.

Domain not indexed! Now that's very odd and I'm thinking I should avoid putting any investment in that domain if I ever wanted to rank it in G.
The webhost has a lot of domains indexed, some are average bloggers sites and some crappy ones.

Pointed the domain to another cheap host, popular one.
Just checked today and the domain is indexed.

Coincidence? I think not. BTW, this happened with some of other domains of mine, but never looked at it closely, I just moved the domain.

Not sure why, but it seems that G wouldn't indexed a domain that got registered after a certain day or maybe a threshold or they just domain like some hosting providers.

What else was hosted on that server ?

Normally I wouldn't buy into this stuff, (apart from Speed issues obviously) but in the current climate It's just not even worth the risk of a possible issue.

You didn't even build a site there. Google may have ignored it for any countless number of reasons.

Alright. Tell you what, I will switch the domain to the old host and see if it stays indexed. Will that correlate the causation?!
Will try to keep this thread posted.

What was your old shared IP? And which were junk sites on the same IP?
Cheap host doesn't matter anything.

I'm not sure but I'd say that having 20 words on your page is far more relevant than which server it's hosted on.

Thats not true,it may occur if you have delayed by pointing your hosting server to your domain or speed issue. There is nothing to do liking or disliking webhosts.

I just had some werid shit happen in one of my client sites. Two weeks ago GWT 457 urls submitted in sitemap 456 indexed. Last week GWT 457 urls submitted 441 indexed. Today back to 457/456. Not sure what that's all about but it would be nice to know which pages got dropped and picked up again / was it just some sort of glitch?
