From what I have read both Prosper 202 and the PPC coach Tracker hide keyword data from the Networks. But it seems that only Prosper 202 cloaks the referers and thus hides the landing page from the networks as well.

Is not blocking your landing page from the networks that big a deal? I guess as a newb to PPC I shouldn't worry about keeping the LP private but I just wanted to get some thoughts.

PPC Coach Tracker does not hide referrers. It could with a minor tweak and did in the first versions, but look at things from a networks perspective. If they see a ton of traffic coming in, all with no referrer info, it may raise a red flag. If you can't trust the network isn't going to rip off your landing page, keywords and campaign then you shouldn't be dealing with them. Also the javascript redirects that were originally used, (same as p202's), were too slow. The switch was made to php redirects and the trade off was no scrubbing of the referral data in the header.

:)

lol if some network got pissed cause i was scrubbing my referers it would mean my traffic is going to a different network. fuck that noise.

and its not just the network, it's the merchant too.

as for javascript redirects being "too slow" (they still use them) that's pretty flimsy as they're just as fast as metas, unless you're running netscape navigator on your 386 w/ aol 14.4 connection

ClickPimp hides referrer data from networks as well. We're going to be launching a beta test soon... I'll post details as we get closer.
