they aren't pushing the premium T202 for some reason. I got like 1 email and that was it. Although compared to Bevo it's overpriced and a bit thin in terms of features - especially the offer rotator that has needed an update for a long long time, but imo better interface (or im just used to it)

Dumb thread really. I see no reason to complain when you can edit prosper202. I always remove ads, update checks, blah blah from it whenever a new version is out.

I would respect your opinion if you have read at least one post besides the OP.
Unsubscribing from their list and/or removing the ads myself is just as bad IMO, if not worse thing to do.
Also, I found my solution to the problem - bought another tracking platform.
Very happy with it.
I'm complaining about prosper leasing their list to people who prey on newbs with stupid 2k bizops with 10k upsell private training programs on them and sticking ads in their ads.
Its a tough call to really pass major judgement on them now...
In the beginning, they were jacking data and using what everyone was running, for themselves. This is a smart idea, even if it is unethical, its a business model. However, they were also denying it and pretending to be squeaky clean and 'sharing is caring'-esque... So that's why guys like me and Insomniac went after them and exposed them for it.
Then Wes changed it up, offered a self-hosted version...
Let me be clear about this.. I don't care who you are, nearly all of us used the self-hosted platform on our sites. PLUS to Wes and everyone on the 202 tracking team from then until now, they deserve major industry street credit because they literally revolutionized how all of us track, monitor, analyze campaigns now. Think about tracking BEFORE them, and look at it now.
Custom solution or not... they innovated the industry on analytics, and they deserve MAJOR kudos for it.
Plus, let's not forget how much cash all of us have made because of the free version. Which was their biggest asset and also the beginning to the end of their reign.
They should have monetized it from the start. But again, they began to make the one major mistake that many people make, which is believing their own bullshit.
Now, it got bought out, then reacquired, then passed on... and due to lack of major innovations or changes, and also major lack of direction (less we not forget the incredibly bad idea of going the 202 aff network route -- I told Wes from the start, that would be the worst thing to do, but of course, he championed on...but hey, to each their own eh.).
So... its bizopp time eh? Well. Okay... cool?
Its a foolish idea in the grand scheme of things, but can you really blame them? They want to make money from this cash sucking hole they've dug themselves into over the years. A lot of guys from this forum have left and gone the whole bizopp and guru route. Or made paid forums to sell their infos and strategies.
Can we blame them? Nah, not really. They are all just trying to make a buck and reinvent themselves. They adapt the way they think they need to in order to stay ahead of the game, not be boring, and just add money to their own accounts. I think its a silly thing, but that's just my view. And even so, I'd rather guys who are not so brutally evil go that route than the Wafo idiots who really have no clue. Its kind of like American politics.. Choosing between the two imbeciles of evil is pretty much how things go these days.

Well, first, I want to say that p202 is a fine product and, yes, everyone made money using it, including myself, there is not denying about that.
I don't know how people perceived this thread(also, I should mention here, that it is for people who put effort in reading and understanding, not stupid fucks who just type shit) but its point was to call their shortsighted behavior.
I too was referring to their selling and reaquring and network ventures, which is basically the same thing - shortsighted behavior.
Just pick one way and stick with it. If it doesn't work, change it, but don't go back and forth a thousand times. People thought I was telling them not to monetize. Of course I'm not saying that, just pick a monetization plan.
I'm not here to say to anyone to not use prosper(and I didnt) - it works just fine and if it fits your needs you may as well stick with it.
After all, I'm not making a thread about every bullshit email I get, I made it for prosper, because I think they should know better.
