LOL. I think sony will fail with the ps3. Nintendo are going to kick sony's ass.
 
Saying people will buy it without games... that it will replace the PC... charging $500-600 at launch for it, yet claiming is easier/cheaper to develop.

Yep. A list that doesn't necessarily guarantee that you will get a PS3, but it increases your chances a hell of a lot more than anything else out there. I'm going to also launch one for Nintendo Wii. I have VERY VERY good contacts in the consumer electronics and gamer regions, enough so to do this successfully.
 
If i can get my hands on a couple ps3's,i'm going straight to ebay with them! :D
 
I never thought I'd actually be one of those people camping out in lines waiting for a new console... but with Nintendo's Wii, I don't think I'll be able to wait for it. I've never been as excited about a console in my entire life (I'm 26 so I've been around for all the main console releases).

The new way to control games via the Wii remote is obviously a big selling point, but the fact that Wii will be able to connect online is may be a bigger "plus" for me. Yes, I know the other consoles will have online play and that Xbox and PS2 had it, but they don't have the huge amount of party games like Smash Brothers, Mario Party, and all the Mario Sports games. To be able to pick those up anytime and play a game online is too good to be true.

When I first got my gamecube I was living with 4 other college roomates so there was an abundance of people to play these multiplayer games with. Now that I'm out on my own I don't have a constant supply of opponents and having these types of games online will solve that for me.

I can't friggin wait.

wow that's neat. I think that's a real adventage, knowing people. Have you any idea in what quantities this is going to be?

Alot of people I know are gearing up to get in line, buy, and post on ebay. There were so many stories of people reaping huge profits last time around, I would be surprised if there wasn't a site like this. In fact, I've seen hundreds of them already (some better than others). Hopefully you can pwn all the others Jon.
 
I think Nintendo has a real chance to regain market leader position in this round of the console wars. The PS3 is going to be a powerhouse, no question, but with the huge price point and the extreme programming difficulty it presents because of the Cell processor, I'm not sure how things will pan out for Sony.
 
i would have to go with the ps3 , dont buy it right at the start thats madness just wait a month or to and the price maybe halfed.

why the ps3? well mostly i am a pretty hardcore gamer when it comes to final fantasy and metal gear solid so thats pretty obvious , i also think that there the most next gen of them all , next gen in my eyes is a leap in computer power , innovation is a hole different ball game.

once the ps3 hits the 360 isnt going to be next gen anymore (if sony can make there promises come true) because the only edge it has on the wii are the graphics in my humble opinion argue about it if you wish but i think i am beinging objective

i also have to give credit to the wii tough , its a consol you can even play with your girl friend or grandpa en grandma thats a really cool innovation , i just hope they dont cramp it full with mario games that would be a waste be creative nintendo team ! :D

further more i noticed some guys talking about getting a consol straight away , dont do it let them duke it out for a while you'll get a much more clear picture of what there really like and the price is going to fall like a brick.
 
availability and supply for PS3 and Wii will always be limited for the Xmas season and eBay will have the highest premiums. you will need to wait until at least february or march 2007 before manufacturing is at full tilt. by then, the excitement might not be there anymore?
