PS4/Xbox 1 anyone give a shit?

Consoles are faggots now.

Get a PC - atleast there's a point to connecting to the Internet once every 24 hours [to work] on a PC.

Don't care cuz I bought a Wii U. Dat smash brothers, mario kart, nintendo party, new mario, Zelda remake... I love Nintendo cuz they keep to the laid back, cartoony, fun kind of games. Any serious graphics games I just play on the computer.. I just can't FPS or MMORPG on a controller.

This discussion is not about toy's.

Well I for one think Microsoft just slit their wrists and they went accross the street, instead of down the road. Fuck you microsoft if you think I need your permission to play a $60 game on a $500 console, and then get that permission every 24 hours. Hell even my Iphone will let me play games I have purchased when there is no internet.

So thanks microsoft. I have been an xbox only owner for 15 years. The Xbox360 will be the last xbox I will ever own. So microsoft take your Xbox One and shove it up your ass.

Sony shut up and take my monies.

This pretty much sums it up. I love xbox 360 and wish they just built off that. I just like how its so easy to play/talk to people even if they aren't on the same game. Unfortunately I may have to switch back to playstation. It sucks because the Halo trailer looked sick.

I really don't mind the $60 a year fee, its not that big of a deal. I just don't like all the restrictions.

Would appear that Microsoft is backtracking like crazy. Xbox.com is getting hit hard as hell right now, as well as GiantBomb, the site that originally published the information. Here's a synopsis.
No more always online requirement
The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
Region locks have been dropped

People are saying it's confirmed but I can't get into the Xbox website to confirm. But here's the link:

The only reason I care about consoles is that, sadly, PC game development is closely tied to the console market.

Better consoles = Better PC games.

That's some pretty hardcore humble pie MS is eating, I give them a bit of credit for being so bold but of course their reasoning is still dishonest. If they cared about customer feedback then where the fuck is shenmue 3.

Excited about some of the upcoming games coming to all platforms, though (The Division and The Witcher 3)
