Just a quick question to confirm while i'm combining some kws for a campaign.
I'm using a ppc builder so I just wanted to know if its worth taking the extra time to order the kws or can i just mass combine them?

ie. if i have "blue widgets" and combine it with the kw "college" as a prefix giving me:

college blue widgets
"college blue widgets"
[college blue widgets]

if the search term is more prone to be typed in as blue college widgets, would one of the match phrases above trigger it? i'd assume if anything its the broad match that'd do it it? or would it be worth sorting through my list of branches and doing ones manually to get the right trigger?

With your three keywords, a "blue college widgets" search would match against the broad keyword (college blue widgets). I assume you know how phrase and exact matching works.

What are your other branches? I don't think you need to sort through those. It is worth doing broad/phrase/exact testing in the same adgroup to see what converts. Sometimes you can just axe 2/3 types and get the same results with less clutter.

thanks for the confirmation

i usually start my campaigns with all 3 match types i dont mind the clutter lol. i was just reviewing some campaigns while tuning them and realized my kw combination methods threw some strings out of order so i wanted to make sure they are still covered - instead of going over them all one by one and reordering it lol
