I have now lived almost straight edge for a few years except from coffee. I was drinking about 10 ish cups per day at home plus all the starbucks lattes and whatever.

So I decided it was time to call it last week when I moved down here to Bangkok.

And this has been my most tired week EVER, fuck me its hard to get shit done.

So has anybody here quit the lovely java juice and maybe have some trick for me on how to get that energy back. Just so I can hustle as usual because it's starting to piss me off.

I prefer redbull. I could never "aquire" a taste for coffee. Good for you though. The amount you were drinking would've given you a heart attack eventually.

If you want to feel good, be healthy, and keep fit begin working out and eating right. You'll gain natural energy and feel a lot better.

Ibuprofen or aspirin helps a lot with the caffeine withdrawal headaches.

I try to avoid caffeine as much as possible so that when I do need a performance boost I can drink an energy drink and get a huge boost in production and energy.

Still caffeine.

And nope, I would never do such a thing.
I am convinced that I actually died 12 years ago, my body just keeps on going thanks to the sheer amount of caffeine propping it up.

on a side note, i've cut my dranking back from 4-5 times a week to once for the past 30 days. glad I did.

It has to be GRADUAL. -You can't quit coffee cold turkey.

I'm back on it again these days but the one time I did 'successfully' quit a couple years back I did so by having about 10% less coffee each day.

I get really bad headaches when I go without so it was the only choice for me though, even 50% less each day was too extreme and the headache comes back...

you could ween yourself off with caffeine pills

Hmmm dude bad Idea for me to sue pill shaped objects, Im pretty fucking sure I just end up upping my dose of caffeine like that

Just drink tea, black tea with milk is amazing.

tried it had about 5 cups already will see if I happens to take this to the extreme as well.

Cold turkey is my only way, If I knew how to control my daily intake so would I now be in this situation..

Swap to yerba mate, its a tea, with only small amounts of caffeine but it really gets you going :D

And if you feel your brain is lagging due to the lack of caffeine get some Brahmi extract or in pills :D helps with memory and brain functions.

I love coffee and enjoy drinking energy drinks but they don't really work on me.

For some reason if I had a Monster or something I get a huge boost of energy for about 30 minutes and then crash and feel worse and more tired than when I had the drink. Tastes good though.

Coffee is a bit better it definitely keeps me awake but doesn't particularly help me concentrate or anything.

You should try some "echinacea" ; its the next Acai Berry. Taking this daily should bring you back from your caffeine withdrawals a little quicker. Its great at fighting off illness to so pop a few if your starting to feel sick.

I just started drinking coffee but I limit myself to half a cup when I wake up and that's it.

just out of curiosity, why would someone choose to quit coffee?

because I feel that I have become dependent on it to get shit done. I couldn't get started unless I had 2-3 cups in the morning and then trough the day.

And fuck dependency
