RC Helicopters Anyone?

Did that earlier today. After I got the hang of it I started doing it under a table. Made it a few times, didn't make it a few more times.

Now I finally broke down and bought one. Another thing to shoot down my productivity, I'm psyched! This little baby looks cool.

These things are cheap as fuck, I bought a little Swift 6020-1 with Gyro.

Hmmm I should get my dad one of these for Christmas. He flew helicopters in Vietnam and spent the rest of his life selling them when he came back. He's kind of into helicopters and he has the XY chromosome. What should I look at? Not something too pricey or hardcore, just fun.
 
That's just beautiful! I have several EDF Jets which I love to fly when I get a chance but never looked at helicopters too much. I might have to start exploring those now! Thanks a lot Enigmabomb ...sigh... :)
 
I've been wondering for ages what I can get my dad for his birthday and this might be a winner. I think I'm going to buy two Blade MCX's so we can fly them together in the living room haha. Any other suggestions?

Definitely the Blade MCX S300... It's the exact same thing as the regular MCX, but it's $30 cheaper (the only difference is the body). You can get it for $89 right now after a rebate. Get the small one (blade) ... I bought the CX3 and I fucking destroyed it. Hard as hell to learn on that one, plus add in a little suck. I bought the small indoor Blade one ($90) and it's easy to fly and doesn't break if you crash it.
 
OK, seriously, you guys have reeled me in on this... These videos are badass.

I'm buying one!
