Is it really hard to think that technology could be far off from rendering government irrelevant?

Government is a psychological aberration. It's not something moon 'roid mining will solve.

Humans are predisposed to psychological constructs so that they can interact with material reality, and those constructs have an evolutionary bias towards coercion and obedience.

Our technology will rapidly outpace our ability to breed out bad psychological models and habits, particularly since we've constructed a society that punishes the smart and rewards the stupid.
