So I'm in the early stages of a product launch. It involves a chemical, no not blow. It's a common ingredient.

So yesterday I got a sample from a potential supplier... but oh noes! I have to dose the sample before I try it.

There was a time when I knew lotz of folks that owned triple beam scales. We were in the Chemistry club together. Yeah yeah, the chem club; that's it.

Anyway, I need a scale accurate in the 50 mg - 200 mg range. Any suggestions?

I still have my triple beam from the 70's but I would check out the electronic scales they make now . Way less expensive and measures weights under grams.

Sort of like the conversion from slide rules to calculators partner.

like this :)

Ohaus makes the best..just be prepared to pay. Almost all triple beams have accuracy to 0.1g, so 100mg - which can make a huge difference in dosing. Any reason you don't want to go digital? My experience in the lab for many years = don't use cheap shit if you want decent results.

You know Papa John, I actually deleted the last line in my request that said 'what about digital?'. It was an afterthought and it didn't read right.

So no, digital would be fine too.

Say, thanks for the info, everyone. Yeah, I'm going digital. I'll really only need it a few times.

The dosage amount is a known quantity. For my purpose at this stage, even being off by as much as 2 or 3 grams would be close enough. This shit ain't like LSD or anything.
