I'm interested in learning more about HTML and CSS. Any recommendations on websites to check out to learn more?

I Google searched and found a couple, but any personal recommendations are appreciated.

w3c is a good free tool. Lynda is a fair paid service. Lots of bloat if you're only trying to learn the basics of the two.

Good luck!

W3Schools is full of erroneous information and isn't recommended at all by a large number of the sharpest people shaping the future of internet technologies.

HTMLDog is a good alternate resource... HTML and CSS Tutorials, References, and Articles | HTML Dog

dev.opera.com has some good info... 1: Introduction to The Web Standards Curriculum/Table of Contents - Dev.Opera

code.google.com has some good info... Google: HTML, CSS, and Javascript from the Ground Up - Google Code University - Google Code

reference.sitepoint.com has some good info... SitePoint CSS Reference

Lynda.com is highly recommended.

Additionally I would recommend the A Book Apart books HTML5 for Web Designers and CSS3 for Web Designers... currently they have a 30% off discount if you buy all 6 of their titles (the responsive design titles are good too), but they normally only cost $15 and are a great deal individually as well. A Book Apart, Welcome
