Recommend some planning software.

I use PivotalTracker. It's a great and easy to use system. I don't like having time lines as they don't usually pan out as the scope of projects increase as they go on. Pivotal provides a simple way to add items and organize them all.

Guys - I want to thank OP for starting this thread and thank those who recommended Trello.

By nature, I'm creative and unorganized - which is often a torturous mix.

Trello is pretty flexible and in no time I had it tune to my needs.

I usually have it open and I'm always throwing quick notes into the correct place without having to stop whatever task I'm on.

I've tried for years to find the right application or the discipline to do this on paper, etc. - but for now Trello is a solution I never had.

Cheers.

Pen and paper (preferably dot grid) for my daily list. Anything else just feels too foreign. For long term stuff (>1 day), I usually just mark it on my calendar, use whatever task app I happen to be using at the time, and write it down. I like writing stuff down and checking it off no matter how mundane it is. My schedule also doubles as a wrist rest.
