Remember When I Said I Was Going Back to School?

Excellent Decision!

Awesome! Keep up the good work. The lesson here is never restrict yourself based on age when it comes to continuing education. Aside from the cost (yes there is always a cost as nothing comes free) I just finished my B.S. in Marketing this past December at the ripe age 36! Working and going to school full-time was probably the most challenging that included sleepless nights to write term papers- one after another, I took vacation days to stay home to write more term papers, to the point I needed a vacation just from the writing. So, I totally get it. It's work.

So, for now I breath a sigh of relief until the next challenge is paying those student loans when they go into repayment status...lol.

Oceanside, my last US address. A lot of retirees and marines. Beaches are nice though as are neighboring towns.

So San Marcos has a state uni now? If I was to go back (to the US and my old address) I thought about a biotech major. San Diego is a hot spot for that. And looks like San Marcos has it. But too old and comfortable now...

Thanks man. Hell no, no debt. Back in the day when I was a full time student I had a few small loans, but I paid for school myself since day one.

San Marcos does have a pretty nice school now and it's still growing. I was born and raised here, so it's a comfortable place to live, but I get the bug up my ass to move now and then. Just someplace with less traffic and a little more mellow.
 
Man, when I grew up in San Diego area, in the little town of Bonita, is was way mellow. North County didn't even exist except for Camp Pendleton and a few sleepy seaside towns. Things sure changed. Last job I had over there I had to drive from Orange County to Sorrento Valley and Rancho Bernardo a few times a month. Traffic sucked. Must be worse by now.

Where are you thinking of moving? One thing you will miss - San Diego has the best weather in the world. I always thought it was so dull that weather was even a topic of coversation of people from other parts of the US. When you live in San Diego you just take it for granted that every day is beautiful weather. Then started traveling to places that are too cold, too hot, too dry, too humid, to cloudy, too smoggy...
 
Awesome done bro. I want to finish my bs as well in economics, but it's just so boring. Might help if it was in Socal though. I think that would be where I would live if I moved to the US.
 
congrats. I want to finish up at sdsu in the future too, simply because I'm 80% done and don't like leaving things unfinished (especially expensive things).

The best part about san diego state is when girls tan on the lawns in between classes. Fucking gorgeous women out there.

ONE EXAM?? Bro, I am jeally. I had a total of 9 finals this semester, with 8 of them in a two-week span in April.

Congrats on finishing that sucker off! I have two years to go before I'm done. Being over the midway "hump" feels great though.
 
SDSU is the shit... I used to go party there every once in a while... the girls are hot and the parties are crackin'. I went to UCSD for undergrad which is technically a better school but it's boring and the kids are too geeky to be very social.

I'm thinking of going back for grad school and I'll probably be applying to SDSU. I raged kind of hard as an undergrad and it's reflected in my GPA so I'm going to have to beast on GMATs or whatever I gotta take to get in before I apply. :-P Oh well...
