Requesting exceptions for Adwords

How long does it usually take to request an exception? One of my words in my ad copy is flagged as being "Ephedrine or Ephedrine-Based" but it's not. I requested an exception, but is there something I can do to speed the process?

Last time I requested one I waited for a few days and still didn't get any impressions so I paused or deleted the ad group I think.

Talk to an adwords rep, either by phone or by live chat. Those are your only hopes of expediting the manual review process if your product is compliant, but Google thinks it's not.
