I dunno what this Entourage crap is, but did anyone follow the show "Rescue Me"?

After the millions of cop shows, this has got to be one of the few if not the only tv show about firefighters, specifically post 9\11 FDNY. It stars Denis Leary who is an alcoholic, haunted, legendary firefighter who sees and interacts with the ghosts of his dead family and friends, many of which died in the twin towers.

The final episode was on a few days ago, the end of 7 seasons of awesome TV.

I watched it the first three seasons and then kind of got out of it, but I started over once season 7 started airing, good show. Seasons 1-5 are on Netflix Instant Demand.

It started getting really repetitive around season 3-4. Every single season he'd start drinking again, he or his wife would cheat, wash and repeat.

I still tuned in, simply for the banter in the firehouse. Leary's writing is definitely funnier here than any of his recent stand-ups.

I watched the series finale just a few days ago, and I thought they did a pretty good job of closing things up, though it was a bit anticlimactic.

I agree it did get a little boring in the middle. I haven't caught any of this season though. I'll probably grab them all and make a day of it. Still my favorite show is The Wire.
