Review Blog- Which products to promote on PPC campaigns?

AL- no one is going to spoon feed you here...youre a newb and need to do some research (work). This forum already has in its content all the answers you need...use the search function and get busy. Judging by your post, youve got alot of reading to do. Best wishes

Alfilliate,

If you're SERIOUS about PPC then you'll need around $200-$1000 a month just for the right software. There are some pretty big players in PPC, (6 and 7 figures monthly) going into it with anything less than the very best tools you can possibly find is close to suicidal.

You"ll also need a PPC consultant, a real person not some generic software crap to teach you the ins and outs of being a PPC noob. This will also cost at least $50-$100 an hour.

Unless you're committed to really understanding PPC from the ground up you'll essentially be rolling the dice with each and every campaign you launch.

and it will amount to nothing more than a glorified gamble.

Holy Lurker Status.

OP, don't go with PPC for this site if you only have $500. As already been said - you will lose it. Definitely do NOT waste it on 1 or 2 products, because its unlikely you'll find something that works off the bat. At 4%-6% payouts for Amazon products you need expensive items to make PPC work and those are mostly very competitive.

Create several separate review sites for products that are hot on Amazon. Nothing really competitive like iphones or cameras or anything. Look for items that are up and comers and not hammered yet. Consider seasonality (check google trends).

Then SEO the fuck out of those sites, write articles, squidoo lenses etc, comments on blogs. When you find sites/products that convert THEN add PPC campaigns for them, targetting specifically down to the MODEL, not generally by brand or products name. And do that on Bing and Yahoo, because unless you have lots of content on your site you risk having your account banned by google or in the least having your campaigns slapped (Ive had an account banned that only ever had 2 amazon affiliate sites, both of which were also slapped after I ran campaigns for about 2 weeks).

IF you had money and experience you could go the other way - you PPC to find winners, then SEO optimise for the winning products and keywords. Seeing as you have no money or experience take the slow approach.

Expect to fail repeatedly finding your winners.

I'd recommend you join Affiliit.com, they focus on review sites, seeing as you clearly clueless and need your hand held.

Who the fuck are you faggot?

I'd highly recommend shutting your piehole as we might meet up at some gathering. And, although I would enjoy beating the living shit out of keyboard warrior faggots like you, extreme anger causes a drastic rise in ones blood pressure, something that does not bode well for my health.

What's your real name tough guy?

you just told a newbie to spend his only money on bullshit consultants and ppc software. That software won't do anything for a person who doesn't know what they're doing in the first place.

I was gonna e-battle it out with you but you're obviously a lot tougher than me

Like Dispel said its probably best to go the SEO route, especially after receiving this email from amazon uk today...
as of February 1, 2010, we will no longer pay referral fees to Associates who send users through keyword bidding or other paid search on Google, Bing, Yahoo!, or any other search engine, or their extended search networks

Firstly that only refers direct linking. Sending PPC traffic to a review site (or any other kind of site) is fine.

Secondly, Amazon.com implemented the same policy around April last year. Amazon UK is just following suit.

WF is really an unfriendly place. Angry and successful - spot on!
