robber gunned down youtube video

I bet you guys packing heat sitting at your computers just incase someone looks in your window...

Florida law already was going to put the guy away for life in prison for using a gun during a crime. Its not like he was going to just get out in a year. I am more than willing to bet that he was going to take that cash he wanted and run out the door like the majority of robberies. The clerks are not always shot after they give up the money or no one would ever work at a 7-11 or gas station.

Good to know the majority of WF is willing to murder someone over $50 though. If affiliate marketing ever goes south for you there is always a job at 7-11.

Fuck you! You don't know what he was going to do. My brother is a manager at a gas station, last year he was held up by some worthless drug addicted fuck wanting the $72 in his register (because the rest is in a time-locked safe), he gave them the $72 and the dickwad fucking shot him anyway, in the fucking chest so there would be "no witnesses" despite there being caught on 100 store cameras inside in out.

Fortunately my brother survived, after 8 fucking months of therapy he's almost 100% AND he's back at work. If someone points a fucking gun at me I'm going to think they want to fucking kill me.

So fuck you asshole, I hope some fucking street thug guns down your whole family over $12 and a pack of cigarettes.

Somebody points a gun and you, and you're wishing you had a TAZER so you could treat him with dignity or something?

WTF, if that guard had a tazer instead of his gun, he'd be a dead ex-cop, laying on the floor of that pharmacy clutching his tazer..

EVERY IDIOT knows that if you pull out a gun and commit a crime, you've just increased your odds of 1) getting killed, because most people don't try to "wrestle" armed robbers if they don't have to.. 2) a prison sentence 3-5xs longer than if you'd committed the crime without a weapon.

BEERNUTS - you seem to indicate that if the security guard had just had a tazer he could have somehow overcome the guy and arrested him, do you really believe that watching the video?

As the guard emerged from behind the counter with his gun, the robber near immediately turned towards him and aimed his weapon..

The sad truth is the potential story behind the robber, perhaps some young kid who was otherwise not violent, but who had a serious drug habit causing hinm to do stuff he'd oterwhise not do..

Read the news.. drug addicts are killed in the line of fire almost daily, I think partuially because a drug crazed gunman is completely irrational and likely to do just about anything to escape with their drugs..

a friend of mine in recent years fell completely off the face of the earth when he became addicted to Heroin, and once he "came back" rehabbed, I heard stories about the crimes he committed that could have easily caused his immediate death.. normal, average father of two, married 10 years, everything fell apart and in less than 6 months his life was in complete disarray..

So I feel what you're saying Beernuts, but this shit happens when people are addicted..

SHITZu - I feel for your brother, I came very close once.. gas station attendants are often victimized..

Holy shit!!! I finally found a post where I can agree with Popeye LOL

As liberal as I am on most issues, this is not one of them. Anyone looking to commit a crime like that and especially use a knife or a gun to do it, they are fair game for self defense at any measure.

Like someone else said above, it's not just the $50 - it's also the cost of having to feed and shelter and provide health care for the rest of that fuckers life in prison

bullet's a lot cheaper

Considering the fact that the security guy had plenty of time to run around the guy and shoot him several times. I am sure he would have had time to disarm him in another manner. If that guy was a trained police officer in the store he would not have acted in the same manner which is what I have a problem with. A can of pepper spray would have done the same thing.

Plenty of time? The whole thing went down in about 2 or 3 seconds from the time the security guard became visible to the time the perp was on the floor, and in that time the perp was just about able to bring his gun around to shoot the guard. There's not an armed police officer in the entire world that would have tried to pepper spray or taser that guy. They would have all shot him, guaranteed.

:nopenope::nopenope::nopenope::nopenope::nopenope::nopenope:

I would love to see you and your pepper spray put in this situation!!!

Your criticism of his actions is just plain ignorant. Until you've been face to face with a whacked out druggie with a gun, STFU!

agreed. A friend's father was killed in a fast food parking lot because he chose not to use the his legal ccw pistol. He chose not to respond with force and because of it he is no longer with us. They took his wallet and car and shot him execution style in a carls junior parking lot.

In any situation, it is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

:2gunsfiring_v1:You shoot until the threat stops. I am a NRA Certified firearms instructor and we teach that you keep shooting until the threat is no longer a threat. One shot stops are rare. It normally takes two or more to stop a thug bent on doing you harm.

Ya i always love it when you hear the "Why didn't he shoot him in the arm, or the foot instead?".

You never shoot to injure, you shoot to kill. Getting shot once does not instantly inflict enough pain or stopping power to stop a drugged out person who has adrenline rushing due to the fact that they are commiting a serious crime.

Besides its easier to fight a homicide as a result of self-defense in court, than it is to fight a wrongful injury that results in someone being paralized for the rest of their life. When the agressor can't speak on the stand you're self defense argument will ultimately play out much better.

Agreed. I intend on eventually going into the local police department and ANY officer would have drawn his gun and shot him because the guy was armed and considered dangerous - I would have.

BeerNuts: This is real life not the movies where they attempt to negotiate with the individual before shooting. When citizens are in potential danger, you are instructed to do whats in the best interest of yourself (as the police officer) and the citizens around.

You have got to be a complete idiot if you have ANY sympathy for this armed robber. It was HIS choice to put on a mask, enter the store and endanger innocent people by brandishing a gun in a threatening manner.

The guy who shot him was a retired police captain hired by the owner to protect him and his employees from this exact type of dangerous situation. Kudos to the owner for not trying to do this himself with his own gun but instead hiring a professional with 20+ years of experience.

BTW, I'm not some gun toting NRA freak. I've never owned a gun in my life. This was a clear case of self-defense.

Looks like the ex-cop will be cleared of any wrongdoing as his actions were "justified".

Preliminary review clears guard in fatal pharmacy shooting

I am an NRA member but am not a gun freak. Gun ownership is a constitutional right. You should reconsider lack of gun ownership. You may need it at some point in your life for self protection. All of my family members know how to use the guns in our home and will use them for self defense with out any doubts or qualms. You have a God given right to defend yourself and family.

Thanks man. It comes with the territory but for someone to say "He shoulda done this, or shoulda done that" pisses me the fuck off. You don't know what's running through that worthless pricks head. The fuck that shot my brother stepped over him to grab a pack of smokes before he casually strolled out of the store. These assholes place NO VALUE on your life, so why should you place any on theirs? The guy who shot my brother got life in prison but he's still alive and has both his fully functioning lungs and can still walk up a set of stairs without having to stop half way up just to catch his breath.

If you point a gun at someone and threaten them, you better expect someone to point one back and shoot you. Likewise, it comes with the territory of armed robbery.

*shrug*

Pull a gun on me or mine, threaten my/their lives, I'll take your ass out permanently if I get even a sneeze of a chance to do so.

Really don't give a fuck about your "rights". Far as I'm concerned you forfeit your life the minute you threaten mine.

Don't give a shit about "gun laws". I'd rather argue my case live before 12 than be carried out dead by 6.

And before anyone gives me shit, yes, I've stared down the barrel of a gun, yes, I own a gun, and yes I will definitly kill you if you try to kill me.
