Hello,

We noticed your company's site is listed on Complaints Board

If you haven't seen it already, I included a link below.

Complaints Board

You may know who this complaint is from. Unfortunately, whether the complaint is justified or not, a listing on a powerful website like Complaints Board is eventually going to show up on the front page of Google when searching for your company name, or your personal name, and can be devastating to your business. In some industries, up to 70% of potential customers do an internet search on a company before deciding whether or not to purchase. Because most companies have very few positive reviews on external websites, a complaint can unfairly give people a bad impression of your company, and cost you tens of thousands of dollars in sales.

Our competitors will offer to remove this complaint, but when questioned, what they really mean is that they will try to hide the complaint, or move it down Google's rankings over a period of months, so that less people see it. The complaint will still exist. We, on the other hand, erase the complaint completely. It is our guarantee, and you don't pay us until the complaint is gone from complaintsboard.com and the search engine. This process usually takes 1-2 days. Our organization has been in business for over three years and we have helped hundreds of clients protect their business from complaints. Prices are likely less than you think.

If you have any questions, you can contact us at 1.877.414.2272 , or just reply to this e-mail.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Roy Walker MBA

Once you get a single complaint on one of the big complaint sites like that site, or ripoffreport, you will forever be hounded by multiple companies offering those services.

Unless they made the complaint themselves, or they know someone at the website how can they get it removed without hacking the site? Either way anything they do will undoubtedly be illegal.

They may have made the complaint in the first place.

Strong possibility, alternately I was thinking maybe they own complaintsboard as a separate entity. Seeing that they mentioned that it would be gone from the search engines in addition to the site makes me think they would need to be able to manually influence spiders thru something like robots.txt to ensure that.

Personally, I think the 2-day promise gives away a little too much. If you are going to leave a MASSIVE paper trail, it's best not to make it incredibly obvious that you are in fact committing extortion.

Lodge a complaint against Roy and OnlineProtection.us on complaintsboard.com.

Then, call him up and say, "Okay, I'd like to give you a shot. But I have a test in mind to determine how good you are." ;)

How about lodging complaints against them on some sites that they do NOT have control of? Many eyebrows would be raised at the discovery of a "reputation management" firm that cannot manage their own reputation.

lol that's great.

I've browsed complaints board in the past. I always found it hilarious when people would post about an "unfair" experience they had at a place such as Wal-Mart.

The trick is to flood these sites with legitimate businesses like Microsoft and Google and then let their robo email go out to those companies and deal with their legal departments.

Nice. Some people player checkers, some people play chess.
