I'm an Elder Scrolls junkie who's played them all since Daggerfall, but my PC needs a serious upgrade before it can handle Skyrim. Oblivion was a disappointment after Morrowind, but from what I hear Skyrim fixed all of Oblivion's problems. I also heard they didn't bring back spears and crossbows, which makes me a sad panda.

I went back in time to get dragon rend , then i fight alduin and the bitch flies away when i kill him

I've just installed it today, woooo there's a lot of things to take in at once. The graphics are cool, still I haven't mastered combat yet. I was kinda killed by a giant in one swing. That wasn't the highlight of this game :P.

What I've heard is that you can finish the main quest in 2 hours at lvl 15. Well I won't I much rather be huff and puff with all the side quests done. I love what i found so far but getting kill with one hit wasn't so cool.

My Sunday consisted of:

10am - Wake up, play Skyrim
1am - Finished playing Skyrim

I'm lucky enough to have a fiancee who brings food when she thinks I'm hungry. With games like this, I forget to eat LOL

Since this seems like clever-nerd central (don't be alarmed, I am also one! ;) ) Im wondering roughly how much you reckon it'd take me to build a desktop PC that'd run Skyrim/MW3/BF3 easily?

This will be one of the first things I buy/have built when Im full time copywriting in a month or so, so want to plan ahead!

intel e8400 3.0ghz, 2 gb ram, nvidia gt440 1gb and I'm running Skyrim on very high (auto-detected) without any problems. For mw3/bf3, get at least 4gb ram and a better gfx card (mine's pretty old anyway, you wouldn't want to buy that :) )

This time of the year is the time to buy if you're going to do it. You'll be able to score some really good deals on or around Black Friday / Cyber Monday.

If you're talking about maxed out graphics:

Decent Mobo: $150-$300
Ram (8 GB cas 9): $50-$150
Processor (AMD is cheaper than Intel): $150 - $350
Power supply (800 W or Higher): $100 - $200
Hard Drive (7200 RPM at least 500 GB): $100 - $200
Case (Mid ATX will do): $50 - $150
Graphics Card (Recommend nvidia GTX 560 or Higher): $250 - $400
Keyboard, Mouse: ?? Can be really cheap or you can spend some dough
Monitor: ?? Depends of quality and size
Headset or Speakers: ?? Really depends what you want

So on the low end ~$850 not including peripherals. ~$1750 on the higher end not including peripherals. Keep your eyes pealed for some deals coming up.

1920x1200 ultra 16x af 8x aa

790fx mobo
1060t @ 3.6ghz
2x 60gb ssd raid 0 for games
2x 6950 1gb's @890mhz core (i think)

runs perfectly (havent checked fps but I know its really good, there engine seems to be good)

cheap computer can do it, all you need is a current gen gaming card (cpu's never bottleneck)
