Hi. Would it be logical to have the same KW phrases in Google adgroups as long as they all have different match-types? Or would it be best to group these in different adgroups with different ads?

I personally put phrase and exact in the same adgroup.
If I use broad, I make a seperate "leper" group that I know will be responsible if I get decimated (don't use broad when you're starting)

So are you saying that it is easier to get a poor qs with broad than with exact?

Nope.
I'm saying:
1) if you broad match you're going to get destroyed with irrelevant and nearly uncontrollable clicks.

2) I know QS carries over to a certain extent, reflecting back onto the keyword, adgroup, campaign, and account history. I'm not sure if Google factors in match type when deciding how to classify each level there. So as a result of me not being sure, I play it safe.

Thanks xmcp123. That is currently what I am doing right now. I've noticed a big ctr with some of my phrases and exacts. Would you say it would be a good time to possibly start branching off into broad?

I've never done that yet. So if so, what would be the safest way to do this you think other than branching my broads in different adgroups? Are there any good tools for good negative kws?
