People celebrating the Supremes' decision shows they have a slave mentality when it comes to rights. That a small group of strangers in black robes can dictate an individual's expression of love toward others is very odd.
I get that it was previously unlawful for gays to marry in select states. I also get that marriage introduces a number of advantages (health insurance, estate planning, etc.).
But the gushing over the Supremes' decision doesn't seem focused on those practical advantages. Rather, it seems focused on the fact the gays are now "allowed" to marry. That they have the "right" to marry as granted by a group of robed strangers.
That's what I find disgusting.
