I'll be honest, I've been waiting impatiently for this.
I currently use the Galaxy SII and love it!

This one looks cheap to me. Phones are becoming beasts though. 4-core processor jesus christ
- The phone can track your eyes with its front camera and keeps the display on while your eyes are open and switches it off when you close your eyes.
- While typing a message, if you pick up and put the phone against your ear the Galaxy S III automatically calls the person for you.
- If a call comes in the phone even warns you of previous messages and missed calls that came from the same number that you may have missed.
It's a phone.
I'm getting rid of my iPhone 4S for one of these.
If only they'd make them feel less like cheap plastic.
I love my Galaxy Nexus. Only complaint is Samsung doesn't seem to know how to do cameras at all.
Does anyone have any experience rooting their Galaxy S I? What happened when you went to update the Android OS with Kies, did it let you?
Mine is rooted, but I don't bother to update through Kies. I just use 3rd party ROMs found on XDA-Developers forum instead. They have always been better than the stock updates for me.
I am running one called "Slim ICS" right now. It is the fastest/best that I have used on my phone so far.

Once you root it, do the inbuilt features such as Face detection or maybe that "it lights up when you look into the screen" go away? Or they still exist?
I'm having a tough time deciding between the S3 and and HTC One X. The specs are nearly identical. I played around with an HTC One X at Best Buy and noticed the user interface was alot smoother and fun to play with then the S2 sitting beside it.
What you guys think?
