I'll be honest, I've been waiting impatiently for this.

I currently use the Galaxy SII and love it!

Discuss!

This one looks cheap to me. Phones are becoming beasts though. 4-core processor jesus christ

  • Galaxy S III 16GB – $199
  • Galaxy S III 32GB – $299
  • Galaxy S III 64GB – $399

From what I heard!

Also -

  • The phone can track your eyes with its front camera and keeps the display on while your eyes are open and switches it off when you close your eyes.
  • While typing a message, if you pick up and put the phone against your ear the Galaxy S III automatically calls the person for you.
  • If a call comes in the phone even warns you of previous messages and missed calls that came from the same number that you may have missed.

Wow - they have really put some thought into the usability! A phone that lights up when I stare into it sounds incredible.

I love my Galaxy Nexus. Only complaint is Samsung doesn't seem to know how to do cameras at all.

It's a phone.

I'm getting rid of my iPhone 4S for one of these.

If only they'd make them feel less like cheap plastic.

I know. The cover makes it look a bit like the cheaper samsung androids.

I have an SII and the only thing the camera sucks is the Videos - the pictures captures are a fucking treat though.

I might consider the Windows Phone version of it which should be called the Samsung Focus II.

I have not had a great Android experience with my original Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant over the past 2 years. Every version of Android that I have ever used on it from 2.1 through 4.0.4 has been laggy and slow at times.

I've had a near flawless experience with my Samsung Galaxy S.

The only thing I'll do different when I get the SIII is root it immediately to get the built-in shit uninstalled. That's my only major gripe, you need to root it to get rid of built-in bloatware.

Does anyone have any experience rooting their Galaxy S I? What happened when you went to update the Android OS with Kies, did it let you?

Mine is rooted, but I don't bother to update through Kies. I just use 3rd party ROMs found on XDA-Developers forum instead. They have always been better than the stock updates for me.

I am running one called "Slim ICS" right now. It is the fastest/best that I have used on my phone so far.

Wow, the screen looks really amazing on this phone but not better than Sony Ericsson phones.

Once you root it, do the inbuilt features such as Face detection or maybe that "it lights up when you look into the screen" go away? Or they still exist?

Someone reviewer guy I know just told me Samsung has taken Bloatware to a whole new fucking level with this one.

Hope this isn't true!

Nothing wrong with the camera on mine, short of the point where I'd be whipping out an SLR anyway.

Rooting is rooting, it doesn't break other stuff unless you go in as the root user and fuck it up yourself.

It's just admin access to the operating system. Like if you're on a public computer and you don't have access to install software or look at gay porn sites or whatever. But if you're root/admin, you can make the machine to fuck off and do what you tell it to do.

I'm having a tough time deciding between the S3 and and HTC One X. The specs are nearly identical. I played around with an HTC One X at Best Buy and noticed the user interface was alot smoother and fun to play with then the S2 sitting beside it.

What you guys think?

I liked the HTC One X too. But I'd suggest you wait till the S3 comes out, check one out and if you still like the HTC better than it, by all means go ahead.

I had the note for a few months and love it. however I would agree that it is not for everyone.

The greatest feature that makes my life easier is that I get alot of calls coming in for request of my window cleaning service. Instead of scrambling around for a pen and paper to get the customers info, I just put them on speaker and pull out the stylus pen and jot their info on my phone. its awesome. I can then save that memo into my calendar on the day that I clean their windows so i have all their info organized.

the big screen is also sweet when im laying in bed watching netflix, I dont need a laptop anymore to watch porn in bed.
