BP fucks all the commercial fisherman and kills our recreational hunting and fishing as well. Now the pres wants to suspend all deepwater drilling in the gulf for at least 6 months. Nice, that oughta put 10,000 outta work pretty quickly. Look out Detroit, there's gonna be a new unemployment sheriff in town pretty soon. Not to mention hurricane season is right around the corner and the oil is steadily killing off the mashland that slows up the storms as they come in from the gulf.
thats only if the oil is 100 microns thick (enough to be visible), it is many times this.
according to 2 different business douches on the news last night, people are already kicking around 20-50 billion in damages not withstanding the civil cases. Thats a crippling amount of money, even for bp.
Fuck Barack Obama
I'll tell you what, perception is everything and he's blown it on this one. Even John Stewart was tearing him apart hard last night. As soon as this shit broke he should have been down in the gulf for the duration.

Again I think Obama blew it on this one bad, but 77k making some difference in anything, come the fuck on. This is bad journalism.
Not sure why Obama's administration is being blamed for this. Not surprised anymore when something goes wrong people immediately start playing the blame game.
The perception is they weren't involved enough early on and that's a huge mistake for them because its basically the same criticism levied at Bush during Katrina. Public perception is a big deal and disaster response is one area where people pay close attention to determine how competent they believe their government to be.
