Schwarzenegger is the man!

The minimum hourly salary for any S.A.Q. employee is over 22$ an hour with full benefits only because as I mentioned, alcohol can only be bought at SAQ stores and they are ran by the government so these cashiers are basically government employees and yea any fucking kid can be a cashier there.

The minimum wage here is actually $9.50/hr

My uncle teaches there... sixth grade health. Makes 110k a year. 6th grade health four classes a day. That's sixth grade health four hours a day ~187 days a year. He can't even defend his salary.

Just had to chime in. CA resident here. Not politically affiliated... just amazed to see the circus continue. Other countries are able to operated state-run programs well. Can't even say I understand what happened to America's ability?!?!?
 
I love that most of us (americans and not) agree the same things:

1. State workers earn too much;
2. They work less than private workers;
3. They have too many priviliges;

No, maybe more like 80%. Because thats what they have been fed to believe and most people just do as told.

I don't think someone is a douche for calling a spade a spade. If you believe that a college degree will lead to a "secure" job and a "secure" pension then you are fooling yourself. Odds are you'll never make it.

The people who founded this country had no belief in entitlement other than we have the right to be free, the right to speak, the right to representation.

The people that founded this country were explorers and entreprenuers, people that believed that you got what you created and what you earned.

Somewhere along the way the masses began to think they had a right to be lazy and get paid. Thats why this country doesn't produce anything anymore. We CONSUME.

Our workers are low quality and overpaid. We try to make up for it by forcing people to work longer hours, when the goal should be productivity.

Call me a douche if you want, but if you on this forum while at your desk job, then good luck to you. Hopefully you are doing what you love, but besides that, don't turn a blind eye to the truth behind Californias debt and despair.

Would you rather be a degreed state employee with a minimum wage job or a degreed former state employee that is unemployed?
