Up to a dozen Secret Service agents in Colombia for President Barack Obama’s trip there have been relieved of their duties amid allegations of misconduct.

The Associated Press reported that the allegations involve prostitutes.

At first Obama was like

But then realized that instead of protecting him they were diddling hookers

You are in a foreign country where prostitution is legal. You are bored. You have money. The women are hot. What do you expect? I'm surprised it was only such a small number of agents that got prosecuted.

It's funny how everyone loves pointing fingers at this stuff, yet probably would do exactly the same thing given the opportunity and situation. I wish the American public would stop judging on this crap. As long as they did their job and protected the president, who gives a fuck who they... fuck.
 
I think the agents overlooked one little issue:

"One of the agents did not pay one of the prostitutes, and she complained to the police," Kessler said.
 
They weren't even protecting the President.

None of the agents or officers being investigated was part of the president's personal protective detail and Obama isn't based at the hotel. But dignitaries and journalists reporting on the hemispheric meeting were staying there, a U.S. government official said.

I'm sure after your 60th assignment of being away from home to protect journalists, it gets pretty boring, and a little excitement is called for.

Uniformed Division officers are generally hired at the LE-1 grade levels with a starting 2010 starting salary of $52,018.

Yes, these guys watching Hussein Obama are not "Uniformed Division officers", which makes me think they're probably making more than $52,018....Either way, it is plenty to pay a Columbian hooker I'd reckon...
 
I'm going to bet the taxpayers picked up the cost of the prostitutes through per diem or through entertainment expensing.

That said, i prefer paying for this over paying for the $4 shrimp and clowns/mind readers that the other government agencies spend our hard earned tax dollars on.

And I feel better somehow knowing that our government employees are also screwing Columbian citizens and not just it's own citizens these days.
