The fulltiltpoker crew was taken because money disappeared. This has not much to do with "shutting poker down because its bad". Imagine having a bank account at a bank that is required to hold 100% of client funds at all times and suddenly, 50% are gone. They get shut down. The Fulltiltpoker incident is a rare non-absurd case.

That's not why they were shut down. They got shut down by the DoJ because they were operating in the US despite the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) and were laundering massive quantities of money through various financial institutions that they were in cahoots with. The shortage of funds to pay back all their players only came to light as a result of the shut down.
The fact of the matter is that if they were never shut down on Black Friday they would still be operating without problems today with more than enough bankroll to keep their operation solvent.
Forum fill of hypocrites. When conservatives roll in to D.C and threaten legislation against adult content they get up in arms. It's "fuck the government!" and "impeach these fascists now!!!".
And as soon as they are out of the cross hairs, any law they think might improve their conversion ratio and they are all for it.
