Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows a good way to take advantage of this.

For one of my old campaigns(biz opp farticle) that I only run paid traffic to the domain is now ranked quite high in compete and I just noticed the other day when I was searching for people posting it online those "this domain is worth" sites estimating it's worth between 8k-16k.

Now this domain is completely fucking worthless as far as I know(besides the 1 conversion it seems to pull in a week from people book marking the page). You can't even post it in a status update on FB they blacklisted it hard. Plus all of it's "backlinks" are people posting about how it's a scam and all.

Is there any place where I could sell this domain to retards that would buy it solely based on it's "estimated price"? I'd be pretty willing to sell it for much less then the "estimated price" obviously, pretty much anything that's worth my time to transfer it.

You could try advertising it on DP forums or Ebay, with a link to 'this domain is worth' sites, and say you're offering it for 1/2 price or whatever, and see if someone goes for it.

definitely try dp, i have a friend who sold his copied flog there for good money.

No one buys domains on DP, they are too damn cheap to pay anything over reg fee. I've attempted selling even high quality domains there and nobody wants to know. If it has a PR greater than 3 then some people may be interested just based on that, but otherwise nope.

I recommend you sell it as a site on DP, just through up a blog if you don't want to use the current site.

^^ Hmm good idea I guess. I really would be happy to give them the entire farticle that I split tested to bad assery - it's still just genetic biz op farticle nothing special beyond great copy for my traffic sources.

What's good money conv3rsion?

Think they would care that when you google the url people asking if it's a scam posting the link come up all over?

Yea those domain valuations are crap, but you may still be able to find someone to buy it.

Marketing Rule #1: People will buy anything
Marketing Rule #2: Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it

^^ I figured it was pretty just based off of traffic stats. Quantcast has it ranked sub 2000 but it's rising quick now that I'm not using it anymore.

Thanks for the ideas guys I'll post up if I end up getting any cash for it, sounds like I could certainly get something but I'm pretty lazy and rationalize that I can spend time doing other things so we will see.

^ I think everyone is missing the point. For seo value (IBL's et al) that site is worth something to be certain. $8k..prob no where near that....but for someone wanting to 301 the site to another site to rank for a biz opp or sim kws..it has value. All depends on the kws its optimized for, SE links et al, but someone could put that site to good use for sure.
