Not satisfied with the debit fees HE created, now he wants consumers to pay more for goods due to Internet taxes. All bought and paid for by Walmart.

When Durbin got his debit fee law passed, Walmart announced the opening of 12 new stores in Illinois. What a shock.

Walmart is a huge part of it, but as a local retailer that has to compete with internet sellers all the time on high end items, relying on people to be honest and actually pay the sales/use tax that is required by every state with a sales tax on every online purchase, I'm all for it..

This is not a new tax, it is simply moving the collection from the lily white honest consumer who always declares and pays all their taxes and forcing the online retailer to collect it for the sate at time of purchase, just like any other store..
