Nah, I'm paid. I submitted a ticket 4 days ago and PM'd backlinksguru 2 days ago - haven't heard back.

A few weeks ago my updates were right to the hour and perfectly accurate like yours though. So I'm not sure what happened.

PM sent. I'll look into your account shortly.

Why does it take like 2-3 hours after the day rolls over to get fresh rankings reported?

Growing pains. We've reached the point where the hourly updates and the one daily update for free users causes some rollover early in the morning.

We've reached nearly 10 million page scrapes on a daily basis. This is a lot for any particular server to handle.

I assure you we are working our hardest to ease the scaling issues and looking into alternative setups for our server infrastructure. Although it is hard to put an ETA on this, we are doing our best to make things rock solid as soon as possible.

So... move the process to 4-6 updates per day for paid users and don't show "updating... 1-hour" and replace it with the last gathered position and the whiners will be none-the-wiser.

I know several others have offered this advice numerous times.

People mainly just want to see "something" there. Reduce your "reply" queue from people complaining unnecessarily and spend that time more productively through this so you can offer the hourly updates if you feel that's your core selling point.

When it comes down to it, you're in the SERP tracking business, not the hourly-update business.

Agreed with Rexibit; your service would still be tits if you just did 4 updates a day (every 6 hours). Hell even 2.... Ya dont newed 24 updates in a day :-)

There may be some affiliate marketers that want the hourly update, I do not know, but for my purposes also, once or twice a day is satisfactory.

Lol. It just keeps getting worse and worse.

Now i get the following error when i log in:

Warning: ColVis requires DataTables 1.7 or higher.. blablabla
All i get is that popup and after that there is nothing.

This, plus the issues everyone has, plus the complete disrespect for their users and customers = worst product i ever used.
This has been a complete waste of my time.

I have been trying to use SEScout for a few sites, and it seems to have a lot of issues.

For one, some days I rank and some days I don't, I know it's not a google dance beacuse RankTracker shows the actual ranking and if I manually check serps I can verify that I didn't drop out of top 1k.

Second, it updates randomly, sometimes at midnight, sometimes at 6am, I can never really know.

Thanks for your input guys. As stated before, our main goal at the moment is scalability. Regardless of if we offer 24 updates a day or 1, there would still be an overlap that occurs at certain intervals.

We are all systems go on a rework of our server architecture at at the moment that will allow for (theoretically) instantaneous and infinite scaling capability. We are cranking hard at getting things completely stable.

I'll do my best to keep everyone in the know as we move along.

I've used sescout for the last 2 months, and all i can say it's useless. It does not even track the keywords correct. Sometimes it said the keywords can't be found, but they where actually on first page bringing lot of traffic.

USELESS, WASTE OF MONEY

Well I've used it for more than twice that amount of time and I've upgraded to the highest package available a month ago. Sure, SEScout has it's rough edges, but just try reproducing these results elsewhere. You can't. Not for lots of sites or keywords.

(And don't give me that bullshit about ranktracker and other services, I've tried them all. I even had one coded just for me to run on my own servers before and even that couldn't keep track of all the stuff SEScout does, nor with its' frequency.)

Bottom line: If you feel SEScout's a waste of money you obviously don't have a legitimate use for it. Go away and let us big boys play.

I'm sorry the service was less than satisfactory for you. Contact me through PM or on live chat and I can arrange a refund for you.

SEscout is a pretty good service with a lot of potential, but as it stands: your mileage may vary - a lot.

I haven't received regular updates for about a month. I've got a 4 week old unanswered support ticket. Several PM's to backlinkgurus went unanswered until about a week ago. He said he'd look into it and that it's been on his "to do list". Never heard back.

I would have canceled my subscription long ago if it weren't for the fact that I love the product. But you'd think these guys would make damn sure that every single fucking user is getting what they're paying for. Nope.

I cancelled mine after this past month. I've been a paying member pretty much since the week after they opened and never once received hourly updates, backlinks, alexa, keyword traffic, or accurate ranking numbers.

Great potential, but far from meeting the potential.

It's had me freaking out constantly because it was constantly reporting a keyword drop of like 400 for a keyword that was on the 11 spot that had never even moved. I'm still using the free service, but that's all I'll be using of it till they can get things under control.

Yeah, I've been a paid member for months and I think I've only seen backlinks count once. Never seen Alexa. IDGAF about Alexa, though.

That's my other gripe. Inaccurate data (backlinks, traffic, etc) - but I've been willing to look past that so long as I'm getting the hourly updates.

Every 24 hours I get an update on the sites/keywords that I'm tracking with SEscout. One update will show a drop of 300 to 400 positions all across the board like you mentioned. 24 hours later things will settle back to around where I find them manually. I've been on this ridiculous 24 hour cycle for a solid month. And yea, at first I was suffering mini-heart attacks from all of the sudden drops.

I concur, when the site is not found it should continue to show the previous ranking. Right now most of the keywords are +492, -486, +499, etc.

Sometimes it also finds another page further down the rankings and shows that instead which results in a huge drop. Bit annoying.

Ryan here,

Lot's happening on our end, we are very close to migrating over to our new "cloud" setup. Those of you mentioning the massive up/down drops and gains, this is a limitation of our current servers affecting a subset of users that will be obsolete once we are on our new setup.

Will be shooting some PM's out to a couple of you on here shortly.

Thanks for your patience guys.
