I said if you kept impressing me, I'd upgrade.

I'm onboard as a paid member as of right now. SEScout is outstanding.

What's more, you guys have Mad programming skillz, as clearly shows in the dashboard, the silky-smooth upgrade process, and that cool feature-request-voting board. A very well made system.

Time to go and load it up now...

Thanks man. That means a lot.

SEscout is a HUGE project and every time some one upgrades it keeps us in the game a bit longer and allows us to continue improving the product.

Is there anyway to stop "has sent you a ranking report from SEscout" from appearing in the field of the subject line every time a email is generated. The sescout logo also on the report. It would save me some time and accidentally sending your logo on a report (as I did already).

I haven't checked/compared all the keywords I'm watching but I noticed one is reported in sescout at a 10 position but if I do a search it has a #2 position. I've had other people do the search for me with the same result #2 position.

Thanks

Differing datacenters and geographic location will provide different results, as has been said many times on this thread. Each time you search, you can be seeing data returned from a different data center.

This is very apparent if you set up a notification for that keyword to yourself. I set up push notifications for any change between ranks #1 and #10 and will see keywords bouncing around every hour between different ranks.

Datacenters don't all share the same data because each datacenter has its own spider. The datacenters sync every 2-3 weeks to form a new baseline.

riddle me this...
SEO Suite's Rank tracker shows 7500 searches for a particular keyword phrase. SEscout shows 125.

?

Please note, SEscout is using "Exact" keyword numbers, not "broad" or "phrase". From experience, this is going to be the most accurate number you can expect traffic wise.

Would be cool if somewhere in the options, a user can select if they search volume results for a keyword to be global or locally. Since some of us have a site that can only do well with the US demo, and only focus on that.

Add this to the feature request list and if enough people vote it up, we will add the feature to change the default email subject.

Look, so, it's not like I don't like this service (been using the free account for a bit now and it is beautiful), but $30 a month, it just doesn't seem like a good investment, when I can spend $100 for link-assistant's rank tracker software. What's the big diff. that makes it worth spending an ongoing monthly rate that in 3 months can pay for this piece of software?

Oh come on, man... DP and WaFo are for questions like that.

But since it's Christmas I'll let you in on a little secret instead of ignoring you: Tracking lots of keywords like this takes up a huge amount of resources and YOUR time.

Using Link-assistant & the like means that _you_ gotta do the work, and from just one IP address... Surely if you've used it for more than a few keywords you've already discovered that it can be buggy when google doesn't want to give up all it's secrets to you every single day.

-Not to mention they check hourly, not daily... And across multiple, targetable Google servers.

I'm not saying this service is underpriced, not yet anyways (they are working on a few bugs and improvements constantly) but the bank of proxies they are having to keep up alone makes the service valuable to you because you'd have to pay many times their subscription price to try to duplicate the system for yourself. Perhaps more than ten times.

If you're only tracking 10 or 20 keywords though, perhaps it's not worth paying for though... I track hundreds so it's a real no-brainer.

lukep - I appreciate you going over the value part of scout. I went with the $50 package to test the app.

I disagree with the quote.

I do want to hear other peoples questions and comments about products and services in the Buy-Sell-Trade section. Their experience with the products or service. Feedback/dialogue is part of my buying process.

I subscribed to the thread to read others feed back on the service.

You and I just have different opinions.

I didn't want to have to upload a logo but I already added a clients logo before I wrote the comment. It is just a limitation to the way I would like to use your service.

Thanks

Initially passed on this when I saw it a while ago thinking that it didn't offer much beyond what I get in Rank Tracker. But recently I've found that a pain to have to keep updating, this on the other hand looks a like it will save a good bit of time.

Signed up for the free trial and looking forward to checking it out.

Android support would definitely help tip the decision to paid.

Aside: I checked out the WaFo and BHW threads for SEScout too and man I haven't laughed so hard in weeks... The personalities of these three forums really show easily, don't they? Most of all it shows the superiority of WickedFire over the rest.

I thought the forum fields for these two in the signup page were some sort of trick, if you entered a username it would come back with a 'sorry all slots are currently full' message...

ROFL! Well, what can I say? Thank you for your infinite wisdom.
