Alright folks... I'm open to suggestions. I want to some music to listen to while I'm work because everything I listen to I know the words to and I get all distracted.

Have some .zip files of good ass albums you work to? Hook it up!

See... I need something that ISNT my favorite songs and groups because I find myself reciting lyrics in my head and then before I know it I've got something like:

Recently I've been wacking all my stuff (about 100Gb) on random... sometimes it's very random! Goes from Aphex twin to Johnny Cash to Dillinger to Metallica to the Spice Girls!! (don't ask... really need to clean out my music!)

my brother has tipped me to last fm but just tried it now.

WOW great stuff.

I put in "Jazzyfatnastees" which is a really chill Jazz/R&B group with HipHop roots too... very relaxing music although lots of you would probably say it's sissy music. Just what I was looking for.

Also checked out that trance/house radio station link someone posted up there. I hate that type of music in general.. but for working too... it kicks some serious ass i must say. thanks for that.

Great song. Too much for me while working though.

I was just about to make a thread like this. :D I'm a big rap fan, but I find the lyrics way too distracting while I'm working. Lately I've been listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers - they talk reallyreally fast so you can't understand the lyrics and follow along easily. :bigear: Sublime is really good too.
 
Let me make a recommendation to all of you:

try listening to techno while working

no lyrics, just those long 20 minute beats

look for a streaming shoutcast server. i know people who swear by it when they work. they say the focus is intense.
