sharing fb knowledge

First of all, never knew people were burning through thousands of dollars per day, let alone investing million dollars in Facebook ads. Truely mindblowing for me. Managed to read the entire threads and did learn from it. :frenchman:
I got some question, hoping you don't mind
  1. Why haven't you mentioned anything about custom audience. I'm suprised no one mentioned it. Isn't custom audience really effecting for high CTR which results in low CPC? Do you think they are effective or not the wroth the time 'scraping' for UID and Facebook emails?
  2. Currently, I'm working with a startup which is about Uber. How will you do the Facebook ads for them?
    1. My strategy right is to scrape list of people who "Like" Facebook pages which revolve around universities and restaurants. My logic is that its these people have disposable income, are bit tech savay and always finding ways to save a buck
  3. If my app is Uber and in the very early stages, should I be funneling my Facebook ads traffic to my fan page or to my site which doesn't much content other than link to playstore or directly to playstore link?
    1. The hell where I live, Facebook is the most popular platform among the youth and millennial. It's literally Facebook or news which the mass browse. I don't know what's more important. People getting engage and getting warmed up before installing the app.
  4. The facebook pages you own or been promoting before, do you track them in some ways to see where it's getting the most traffic from? The Insight shows me most of the traffic is coming from Google.com but I haven o clue which keyword. Any solution to this?
  5. Best to promote "Post", or "Ads" in newsfeed? What should I be thinking about before selecting either? Or is it best to test them all using multiple campaign and watching their CTR? But this can be costly no if running on a tight budget..no?
  6. Really basic question -sorry- so if I have a high CTR, does Facebook automatically reduce CPC/CPM?
    1. Planning to read the entire Facebook Ads official manual/documentation

There are sooo many question I want to ask but going to end it here. A guy spending a million dollar on Facebook ads... I thought only big ass corporations like BP, Exxon, Shell did it. Never knew Facebook ads can this flipping profitable!

Here today for a few hours. Looking through the thread for anything unanswered and I'll be answering those. Leave any new questions here, and I'll get them done here today also.

Any tips for local service based businesses? Obviously, we are targeting city name, but curious how you would interest target for something like that?

For example: landscaping

I would use some of FB provided audiences.

Perhaps the "New Homeowners" category. Seems like it would do well being that if you're moving into a new house, chances are they're going to be interested in keeping their yard looking nice.

You could also go outside of the box, and offer free estimates in exchange for filling out a lead gen form. Gather some information about them when they fill out the form, find out their needs, then meet them in person for their custom estimate. This is where you lay it on them and finish your hard sell..

Just an idea.

Good luck!

Hey all..

forums seems to not be doing so hot. Just came here to continue to add some value for anyone is interested. If you have FB questions I'm here for a few hours in the office.

Been spending $30k+ a day on white hat campaigns, and another $10-$15k a day in BH campaigns. Biggest issue is FB account sustainability. I won't get into to much about accounts, but questions about WH accounts, strong offers right now, business managers, etc I will answer.

What is your average cpc? Is it still possible to get 10 to 15 cent clicks in The US?

What offers are hot right now?

Yep, still very possible.

Especially using new video ads, and the optimized Conversion Pixels.

Somethings that are always hot on fb

WH: Solar, Refi, Flashlights (and various tactical gear), Emulated Old Game Apps, Student Debt Consolidation, Pay Per Call Deals of all types(home repair, windows, carper cleaning, etc..)

BH: ALL NUTRA, Muscle, Any Type of VSL's (even ED), Skin, Casino, And Survey Type Offers.

Also have seen some very well put together arbitrage sites. Although could be a nightmare managing all the revenue streams from it.

For WH stuff do you use an account manager to keep things active? Do you actively work/talk with anyone at FB directly?

If you have an ad for something WH that has high negative and positive feedback, will that ad be able to keep running? Or will it bite you in the ass having "high negative feedback" even if everything is approved and WH?
