I understand what he was trying to do, but man he couldn't have executed it any worse than he did.
He tried to assert his dominance in order to gain an advantage in negotiating, when he should have realized that he already had it. And it's sad because he had a power position and could have started a bidding war between Kevin, that QVC bitch (Lori?), and Damon, possibly even Mark and walked out of there with a million dollars and considering Damon's offer he could have at least got that equity down to 20%
The cool thing is, he can actually watch himself 3rd person acting like an idiot, so he will probably learn from this.

Agree with everyone that the last guy was an idiot. Really surprising considering his good pitch and great product. Was absolutely shocked that he accepted Lori's deal.
The same 12 heroes torrent this every week from Canada. Just search any major torrent search engine and you will find it. Seed count will be low but should rip down at a nice speed anyway. Youtube user Fooledbyrandomnesss used to upload it but I think he's stopped.

Not going to lie, I would have done the same thing in that kind of situation if I were a woman because fuck it why not when so much is on the line. But it is annoying when girls do this shit over everyday trivial things.
I'll tell you guys what happened with that bozo:
When he saw that all dragons were jumping in and giving him higher than what he asked for, he felt like an idiot for only asking for $90k, so he quickly cooked up that story in his head about originally wanting a 15 million $ valuation.
It's that simple. He smelled gold and wanted to go for a home run. He should have realized that he had a home run with that product before going to the tank. He fucked up.
Highly educated people (doctors, teachers, etc...) don't make good business people.
He should have came in with a business guy that could help him with the numbers and negotiations.

Damon is a good judge of character, he was calling that guy obnoxious before I even realised it. He shat himself when he realised that he massively undervalued the business, got greedy and then made up a cock and bull story to try and get even more.
In the process he was a complete asshole too, if that shit wasn't intentional but naive psychological gaming then he is a complete social wreck who has the self awareness of an obese woman in a bikini.
Lori got been had too by the woman with her crocodile tears. Fuck, this show pisses me off.

Ok,.....first off......this DAMN show is about RATINGS and SELLING AD Space!!!

I won't go into the details of it all here and now.
Ok, the Woman......Get a WOMAN to sympathize with her and give her a chance when everyone was out. This reinforces the IMAGE portrayed over the last 15 years that men are SHIT HEELS!!
So, what did this accomplish? It just JACKED UP THE WOMEN VIEWING audience on a show that would NORMALLY appeal to a predominantly MALE Demographic.
So, next week they can push more FEMALE TARGETED ADS than previously.
The second Guy with Seth.........Every 2nd or third show they seem to have some COMIC relief thinking that somehow helps the show. (I HATE IT.) But, I understand MARKETING so I let them slide.
The Second guy, if this was REAL and not STAGED for dramatic effect, could have EASILY pointed out that Honey, Old Fruit or whatever could be put under that cone and NOT just Dog Shit. Again, it's STAGED AND SCRIPTED.
Now to the Third and FINAL ACT!!!!
Of course the guy came off to the audience as "OMFG"!!! It too was PLANNED THAT WAY!!!

I mean what BETTER way to IMPRINT "T-Mobile" on an audience than to have them "IN A STATE OF HEIGHTENED EMOTIONAL AROUSAL" when they ZOOMED in on the T-Mobile trademark.
I told you guys, "my" thing is NLP. So what BETTER way to IMPRINT their BRAND than to have the AUDIENCE in a state of EMOTIONAL UPROAR when they see that BRAND as a LIFELINE to help the poor confused shark chum?
A big part of NLP and Hypnosis to impart a thought or FEELING is to UNBALANCE/CONFUSE the subject or target's mind.
They did this VERY well in this episode. I actually compliment them.
Now, if this wasn't scripted and we were to look at the last guy as a REAL LIFE situation, then I could offer another way to look at his presentation and actions.
1.) You have to get AT LEAST what you ask for in order to get a deal.
2.) The terms are always negotiable ABOVE the initial offering.
So, he low balled his deal. Big whoop. Then he hit a snag though. This guy has an Analytical Thinking pattern that unfortunately for him does NOT do well with a time limit or pressure.
So, since he obviously was PARTNERED with his BROTHER, he was not only considering his own self but his BROTHER. (Who by the way, might be the ACTUAL inventor and patent holder for all we know.)
So, by trying to squeak out the best deal possible he wound up pissing the Sharks off. (He didn't though since this shit isn't Real Business. It Holly Wood Buiznezz.)
Since I know this shit is rigged/staged I take that into consideration while viewing it.
My favorite is The Dragon's Den U.K. but I did kinda like The Dragon's Den Ireland that I got to see about 5 episodes of a few years back. I think it tanked though. I haven't gotten to see the Canadian version yet.
All this TV show Investment Shit is just that. It's the Business of "ENTERTAINMENT" and NOT B2B like in the real world.
Anywho, it's still somewhat amusing to see the Shark Tank from time to time.

I agree with your post, like a lot of US TV it is totally geared towards ratings rather than reality. Undercover boss is another prime example. Still a very enjoyable show.
Anyway Dragons Den Ireland is still running. Think there's been 3 seasons of it they changed 2 dragons last time as one went bankrupt and another made a failed bid for the Irish presidential election. New guy Sean Sullivan is good. Don't think Dave in the UK picked up the most recent season which might be where you saw it. I have a way to watch it so pm me when season 4 is out and I'll hook you up.
I think it's 1% and it's only if funded.
Do you have kids? The parents I know get their kids outside as often as possible especially in the heat because the go crazy indoors. Also, that thing, while not of interest to me, has tons of potential to the shoe-string type moms.
I use my brain to score earnings, but if you can use your super-expressive face, why not? Pretty much makes it an acting gig

Probably the cheesiest plug I've ever seen in my life. It really made me want to just stop watching the show altogether. In fact, with the way the show seems to be going this season, that's probably what will end up happening.
