Shark Tank

That dude was a fucktard. He thought he was a genius or something. Cuban got it right to say he was out. Who the fuck would want to work with a guy like that?

How many times have you had free advertising on Primetime network television while raking in millions in sales?

I'll wait.

[btw, they undervalued his biz... he knew what he was doing]

It didn't look too much like he wasn't interested in accepting the deal. It looked like he was going to accept once he was done doing whatever dramatic pause he was doing. Although, it probably did work out for him in the long run.

Oh I definitely agree that it's a smart move to gain national exposure on TV.

I'm not so sure he knew what he was doing though. He had a patent on the individual packaging of wine. His business was making $2-3 million, the licensing of that patent could have made him $20-30 million +. They even told him they would let him keep his own business and not take any equity in that. He was being stubborn and wanted to build his own company instead of seeing the bigger picture (plus keeping his own business).

The smart move is to let Cuban & others invest in your company, then you can start every business endeavor with "So when Mark Cuban invested in my last company we..." If that doesn't create instant social proof for the rest of your life, I don't know what does.

If you want to see some comedy you should checkout this episode of dragons den where it shows the behind the scenes due diligence and in one of the segments this happens:

Good for Robert tearing that check up, would have done the same shit.

I would have too but apparently they didn't show the whole story though, its been said things happened differently and it was edited to make it look good for entertainment purposes. But I mean come on of course it did, it is television.

Did You Know: Kevin O'Leary openly stated that only 1 out of 25 investments made on the Shark Tank and The Dragons Den make money, he said out of the investments he's made he has NOT made much profit from it.

He also said the bottom line for doing these shows was not at all for investing in people but for networking. An example was when they wanted him to fly to L.A. for a 15 minute shoot and they allowed him to sit beside Steve Wozniak and after the show they were talking about Apple stocks and not investing in them because they don't pay a dividend but Steve told Kevin that's why he invests in the manufacturing companies that supply apple with the parts to make there products. Kevin said he never would of known about that investment opportunity if it wasn't for that 15 minute chat with Steve that day.

Additionally Kevin said he has talk's like that with the CEO's of almost all the major companies now because of doing these shows he said it's the perfect networking opportunity for me.

P.S. Watch this video for some true insights.
