I'm jacked on Jack3d and caffeine right now so I'll probably look back on this post with a big WTF look on my face. Alright you were warned, lets continue

While getting ready to pwn you guys in the SERPs this afternoon, I looked back on this year and realized that I couldn't live without my Macbook Pro. Which then led to me realizing how fucking materialistic we are (well, maybe I should say me, not we). Which THEN made me realize: why am I working so hard to buy shit I really don't need? Then I tried to justify it with, "Well I could donate all this money, or travel all the time" but then I just came back to looking at more material things. Take for instance that I can't live without my MBP. Well that's a totally selfish thought if I ever knew one, especially considering that computers have only been around for a short time.

Any of you guys think about the same shit? I've developed some crazy ass theories just by siting and thinking about why we do/act in certain ways.

If you do AM it's not really materialistic to not be able to live without a computer, you need one to pay the bills and put a roof over your head. It would be like calling a farmer materialistic for not being able to live without his crops. If you are working hard to buy shit you don't need then you should stop spending your money on shit you don't need.

I do agree on losing sight of the real purpose of life; the goal isn't to see how much money you can get before you die.

Jack3d is making you think too deep, bro.

Stick with the fundamentals: monies, bitches, and parties.

All i honestly care about is Middle class quality of life and my freedom (time). I consider working for myself somewhat freedom but not having to work at all would be total freedom.
Fuck if i'm going to work 40-50 hrs a week working on someone else's dream. Regular jobs by design are made for slaves. They are made to never let you attain true freedom (time).

I couldn't live without the gym, because I know if I was an inactive POS sitting behind this computer all day, I'd be an all-around less quality person in terms of personality, mind set, and of course health.

Everytime I take Jack3d now, I get a splitting fucking headache.. Kinda sucks, cuz I like the stuff.

I couldn't live without air, I'm such a materialist. [/sarcasm]

Seriously man, your MBP is just a tool you happen to be using on your journey to self actualization (maslow's). We're all on it the road to happiness, some beings are unconscious and never make it 5% of the way.

What we do when we reach our epitome is what matters. We must keep thinking, but also do.

I couldn't live without a decent computer and an internet connection, but I wouldn't consider that materialistic because they are just tools I need to access SpankWire and MyFreePaySite.

A good playboy back in the day traded for a box of cigarettes. I can do without technology but I can't do without my cat: folders.

If we're talking selfish materialistic shit that I "can't live without", then it's my computer since it makes me the moniez and probably my golf clubs. When I'm not thinking about work, I'm thinking about working on my golf game. And probably our house. If I didn't have any of the other crap I would be just fine.

If we're talking about the stuff that really matters, I couldn't live without my wife, daughter and family. We'll some of the family I could, but my close family no way.

I could nto live with out a decent computer to interact with friends and others people online.

Holy you are pumped up.

I couldn't live without a computer. My Macbook Pro? I could go without it. Some days I wish I was going without it.

In reality though, we could live without all these things. We all would adapt accordingly and probably with only a little difficulty after a while.
